I don't think that is a good way of doing it though because then you eliminate the simulation of ML Options, and you don't have to deal with wrestling with rosters after spring training and deciding between a young 22 year old prospect, or exposing the 30 year old starter to waivers if you want to send him down to AAA and he is out of options.
Thank you for your answer and enlightening me on the options thing. I've never been one that likes to delve into the inner workings of running an organization and keeping up with contracts, player defelopment, etc. I just like to play a realistic MLB game with accurate lineups and see what happens. There's plenty who do like that stuff though and I think it's great that SCEA can make a game that scratches everyone's itch. It's amazing really and SCEA gets a big thumbs up from me for being able to pull it off year after year
