To me it was pretty obvious that those clips were from NCAA 2012 or even older because the animations looked pretty crappy lol.

all im saying is stop with the excuses..now u guys are just being ridiculous. cmon showing different games in that amount of time..and no overlays saying which one is which?..how about right before they show the footage it says "world exclusive"..use some common sense

Making excuses for what? I'm no EA fanboy. I rip EA when its fair to and generally despise them. If anything I'm a 2k/Backbreaker fanboy. But I'm not gonna make up crap just to bash EA.

It will prevent you from throwing say an out route before the receiver makes his break though, right? Oh well I guess you couldn't do that last year anyway.

I would hope that the lit up icons mean the receiver is expecting the ball at that point in the route or is able to make adjustments based on you adjusting the throw (leading, etc). Otherwise if it's dimmed and you throw it behind the WR they don't react properly (if at all) and you could potentially hit a trailing defender in the numbers instead.

This could then be influenced by being jammed, contact within 5 yards, and even PI/illegal contact.

What exactly is the key for when the icons light up?

Is it when the WR is starting his break on a route (say an in/out or slant/post)? Is it when they come open? Is it tied to QB and/or WR ratings?

More importantly, what is the rationale behind them? If it is tied to ratings, will it be a situation where a QB/WR combo with low awareness have the icon light up early/late causing timing issues?

I guess I'm curious how this new system ties to the game itself. Because if it is not tied to ratings or on field action, then it is no better than the squiggly lines and icons disappearing for home field advantage.

i loved what i heard but not what i saw,

the LSU DB mirrored in the 2 clips he was in.

but overall its looks good i saw some nice catches, hopefully they really work on those DB's because the man coverage in the clip was bad......

I highly doubt the no physic DB's, it is happening in that video. There is several times the defender is looking at the WR only to magically turn around the moment the ball is near to pick it off.

Yet again another feature that will be marketed because they know it is what the public wants, yet it won't be delivered the way we all envision it.

All that video does is show me how HORRIBLE EA football looks in motion.

I sat down started watching the video, then I saw it in motion and was like


I don't buy into anything that was said, the game looks exactly like 10, 11, 12, and now 13 will look EXACTLY the same and play 99.9% the same also. YAAAAYYYYYY 60 bucks for same rehash we bought last year with stuff that should of been fixed in a patch!

Excellent post! That video was complete garbage. It's a shame we can't have a great college football game this gen.
