Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
Includes Jeezy's pitch edits, mostly Bahnzo formulas along with my own and TripleThreats. Special thanks to all of those guys. The spreadsheet took so long to calculate, I made a ratings sheet with the final numbers and all opening day MLB players. I added fielding, the pitch edits, my own control rating for generic pitches for each individual, and pitcher batting ratings. I know there will be questions so ask away.Tags: None -
Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
Well done sir, hell of a job
I am still planning to update my sheet with 2012 data for OSFM v3, but only for guys with substantial changes. Question about the control ratings though, since the first guy is Arrieta I'll use him as an example: Do I give his 4-seam and his sinker 55 control?
Edit:
Also, care to share your command formulas? I noticed Roy Halladay only has 58 command for his fastball, and he is one of the five guys I would give 90+ command to.Last edited by seanjeezy; 04-13-2012, 04:51 PM.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' soda -
Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
Sure. It's based off of http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.asp...ge=0&players=0
EX FB/c - standardizing the values on a “per 100 pitch” basis. In other words, when you see wFB/C, that represents the amount of runs that pitcher saved with their fastball over the course of 100 fastballs thrown.
I took the league leader from 2009-2012 combined stats as 99 Control for each rating. Everyone else is divided into him for each pitch.Comment

Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
So the guy with the highest wFB/C from 2009-2012 is Tim Wakefield at 1.19 correct? Since he retired, Cliff Lee is next with 1.17, so shouldn't he have 99 control on his 2-seam instead of 62?Sure. It's based off of http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.asp...ge=0&players=0

Edit:
This is for qualified starters only, when I expanded the search area, I got extremely high numbers for relievers that are skewed because of the smaller sample size. I would suggest doing separate control ratings for starters and relievers.Last edited by seanjeezy; 04-13-2012, 05:11 PM.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
I do include retired nplayers ratings for league leaders that pitched 2009-2011. I think the game ratings should reflect that.
Also, do you have data on these pitchers?
Wei-Yin Chen Tsuyoshi Wada Justin Thomas David Phelps David Aardsma Cesar Cabral Pedro Feliciano Brad Meyers Alan Farina Nathan Jones Jairo Asencio Carlos Carrasco Roberto Hernandez Drew Smyly Brett Anderson Dallas Braden Joey Devine Hisashi Iwakuma Lucas Luetge Erasmo Ramirez Yu Darvish Robbie Ross Robert Fish Juan Carlos Oviedo Jon Niese Justin DeFratus Lendy Castillo Rhiner Cruz Manny Parra Jamie Moyer Ronald Belisario Dan OteroComment

Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
If they didn't pitch in 2011 I don't have them since my list of names was pulled straight from fangraphs at the end of last year. Like I said, I am planning to do 2012 updates for anyone I missed or who had significant changes; right off the bat I can tell you I have Oviedo (Leo Nunez), Niese, Carrasco, Braden, Anderson, Devine, & DeFratus.I do include retired nplayers ratings for league leaders that pitched 2009-2011. Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
Looks solid, but I'm a little confused with the, what appears to be, excessively high fielding rating across the board. Is it intentional to have over 3/4 of the league with a 99 or higher? Or am I just looking at it wrong...Comment

Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator
That's the big thing that really stuck out to me (regarding the fielding ratings)...I'm currently editing rosters to put up, how would i go about getting ratings for players in the minors?PSN-Shugarooo
