is it possible to get walked in this game?

i have never been walked in this game. i am beginning to think its not even possible other then the intentional walk. i move cpu strike frequency down to the left and next at bat watched as the pitcher threw 3 consecutive strikes without me swinging to strike me out. Is there a different way to get walked in this game? am i missing something in the sliders?

Plate Discipline... I usually draw 2-5 walks/game in my franchise... Dont swing at everything, and even if its a strike you dont HAVE to swing.

I average 4 walks per game, it's not hard just tweak sliders if you feel like the pitchers always throw strikes at ya!

I hate to say "this," but uh... this... It's really unavoidable, not even sliders will fix it. You can't just not swing at strikes and expect to stop seeing them.

While this helps, Most of my walks are on 3-2 counts after I spoiled 4-5 tough pitches on the corners.

Drawing walks is the results of having good at-bats. If you are going to not swing at strikes, the computer will throw strikes. If you keep swinging at balls the computer will throw balls. If you make the pitcher pay for throwing strikes over the plate he will try to start nibbling and that's when you can start having some crazy at-bats or beeing walked without being challenged. Also, some games the cpu pitcher is going to come out there and not be able to locate, some games they are going to be Greg Maddux.

If you make the pitcher pay for throwing strikes over the plate he will try to start nibbling and that's when you can start having some crazy at-bats or beeing walked without being challenged. Also, some games the cpu pitcher is going to come out there and not be able to locate, some games they are going to be Greg Maddux.

Yup! Basically the more disciplined you are at the plate, the easier it becomes to draw walks. The CPU will start avoiding the zone if you pound everything they put in there. But it works both ways, if you constantly swing at bad pitches they will keep throwing them.

Yes you can draw walks. But you have to really earn them. Very rarely will the computer throw 4 easy balls to lay off of in just 5 or 6 pitches. Also you have to be willing to take the occasional close pitch for strike 3 if you really want walks.

dude this is the first game that my "hitting" actually means getting hits lol

i usually get 3-5 BBs a game now and k only 4-7 times a game...im getting better haha

When the white circular thing that's coming at you is outside the box that's on the screen, don't swing at it. You'll get walks like CRAZY!
