The last official update from 2k was in November, I believe.
In franchise, load whichever roster you wish to use, then start your franchise.
It will ask you if you want to use current rosters, or default ones.
I cannot speak for online leagues.
Speaking of the rosters, had a bit of a hectic weekend, but I have four teams left to fully edit this time around, and I will be uploading updated/current rosters.
Been a lot of injuries and moves the last few days.
With any luck they will be upped tomorrow
