Whatever dude, the same **** every year from you guys that go to community days.
If you ask me my personal opinion I think its bull**** you guys say i know the anwser to that, but i can't awnser that im under contract.

You just made a comment when it goes gold.
Let me guess becuase you went to play the game its gold in your opinion.

Guys in here discussing the game mostly negative and you jump in here to save EA.

I asked a ? on your site and Gaiming tailgate if custom playbooks would be discussed in this playbook,Guess what no ANWSER.

One more thing i buy this game every year and after last year i don't expect anything to work right.

If you noticed in the first playbook 2:13 seconds into it they said that was
    a bug,so i have vented sorry guys.

Honestly if you expect busy people to wade through 20 pages of noise to find a couple good questions you have higher expectations than I do.Even if they DO wade through the whole thread they know answering questions just generates another 50 pages of people analyzing the 30 words they typed.

I love that people are obsessed over these games, I fall into that group, but you guys need to temper your expectations with reality (I'm only talking about interaction here).

I've learned not to expect anyone here on OS to trust my words, but I've personally spent a lot of time at EA SPORTS over the last few months (and will be spending more time before the game goes gold) and I know personally that they've been asked tough questions. I've been able to ask questions I've ALWAYS wanted to know the answer to. I've also learned why the answers to those questions aren't public knowledge.

      --

That said, I don't speak for the development team, that's just my perception of things.
I think that was a very even handed post but I don't think it's the limitations of what devs can tell posters that frustrate them so much as what they actually tell them.

Like with ChaseB in the Madden commentary thread and AJ whenever he posts, they just post as if they are still regular OS people and not the newly appointed heir to the EA football commentary and Madden frachise throne, trying to learn marketing speak. lol. I am just joking around but my point is I think the devs would be better served when posting on here to be more themselves and seem less like company men, if that makes sense.

I imagine it can be hard to take your work hat off when talking about work but most people on here don't want to feel like they are being marketed to when interacting with developers, they just want to discuss whatever is possible to be discussed, without any spin.

Also, strictly from a marketing POV, I don't understand EA/Tiburon not having a separate marketing campaign for the hardcore community that includes allowing devs and CD attendees to discuss just core football mechanics throughout the development cycle, NDA free. They can still market and hype the usual casual fluff along with presentation, career mode upgrades but that's not priority for most hardcore gamers in the first place.

Over the years it has seemed like developers interactions where being used as EA marketing hype, not for substantive info or feedback, for the hardcore NCAA/Madden community but I think it would have been a far better hardcore marketing strategy for them to just be themselves.

More than enough has been said in this thread. I'm looking forward to the gameplay footage later today. It will either validate the complaints made here, or call for the complainers/constructive critics to take a step back.

No matter what happens today, as always, I will play the demo and see "what is what". I don't think anything can be "validated" until then. Marketing does not make a finished product. It is fun to be caught up however, I'm sure every year, a Duke football fan feels this is the year they go to a bowl game, then after all the hype and hoopla....................

I agree but there are still things they can say which would show they are moving in the right direction.

If they say they worked on something like special teams then it would show they're listening. If all it is today is a more in depth blog on what they showed in that 3 min clip then that'd be disappointing.

I am always optimistic because I want this game to be good. I just hope we see at least some promise. I am not going to go out and buy it based on today, but it would be nice to see things moving forward.

I'm a gamer, and I like football. The kid in me will always get excited for a new video game. Only the grave will make that change. I'm a big kid at heart.

I think we should all remember to keep our expectations realistic with this game, and even though gameplay will be talked about exclusively and shown today, things still have time to be tweaked for the better, or the worse, lol. That said I still think the demo is when everyone should make their purchase decisions, IF gameplay is your deciding factor.

Totally agree with the kid at heart comment. However I'm not a damn fool either. If they fail to generate quality(quality not prefection) I won't purchase this game.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

That is true for the most part, how ever the past 2 years, what was in the demo and what was in the retail version was 2 different things. Come retail version they always watered stuff down in their day one patch that the game don't even play as good as it did in the demo.

IMO the patches have been as big of an issue. The past couple years they release patches that end up causing more problems. They really need to stop doing that. NCAA 11 was the best game they made in a while and then the patches came out and caused a lot of new issues.
