    Schedule promotions

When is it best to have promotions at home? And what type giveaways? Are there like a real life stragey?

i have one every homestand....i mix it up which days depending on the team, pitching matchup, etc.....if i have one on the weekend, im giving away the most expensive item which is jerseys....25,000 to be exact....cause i figure more ppl would show up to games on the weekend then weekdays so giving away an expensive item would be a great lure.....i usually give away the not so expensive stuff on weekday games (bats, balls, gloves)...20,000 of them at a time

So you giveaway 25k jerseys away. And the rest 20k, is that correct? I guess I need all the support I can get managing the Stors. 25k jerseys seem high or less you meant 2,500. Are there promotions on Opening Day? Like our first series is with the Rockies at home. I would think scheduling one the last game of the series due to the season just begun. I could be totally wrong tho.

Also can you tell the differences between none promotions vs promotions games. Houston fan base is already decent isn't it? The Minute Maid Stadium is a hostile environment. Right?

How can you possibly give away 25,000 jerseys at every home weekend game? That is virtually the entire stadium. Logistically the costs would become prohibitive after a few games.

              Re: Schedule promotions

I just read the Yankees Magazine and copy when they have Stadium promotion and have mine in the game on those days and give away something similar.

Usually I only give away 18,000 of each item except on Cap day that says All Guests, on that day I did as many as the game would allow, 40,000.

i set all the ticket/vendor prices to the lowest green threshold to begin with....that way more fans will show up and buy stuff....do i take a hit at the beginning? sure......but if u win, your profit will start to show...plus it isnt like a team plays at home every single weekend

Houston Astros dont have that kind of money. And don't think any club would giveaway that many jersey. I would say at least 1,500-2,000. That would have fans wanting to get to the game early to try to get a jersey. Am I wrong?

                        Re: Schedule promotions

I'd say the average Cardinals giveaway is 25, 000 items of something.

2,000 is just way too small of a sample to give away. You want them to come to the game to actually get something. They shouldn't be forced to get there early.

What is $100,000 in the Show worth anyway? Nothing I tell you.

A big name free agent in the off season. I just like keeping things realistic that's all. So basically for Houston 10k items is enough?

i did that year-round in my franchise last year with no issue...with a small-market team i might add.......1500-2k is just not attractive enough to put butts in the seats.....i havent tried promotions this year for the entire season but if ur willing to try and get back with results, i'd be more then willing to adjust the figure

u can start off with 10k and increase it lil by lil throughout the year...just make sure u win and keep your fan support bar high
