Before game Detroit sent Marchenko, Almqvist, Jarnkrok to Grand Rapids. Grigorenko stayed for the final pre-season game to play with the full squad.
After the game Grigorenko was sent back to his juinor team.
Detroit finished the pre-season 1-2-1 and will open the new season against Edmonton.
