Supposedly, there isn't any dead spots. It was a PP presentation, so, hopefully, other game play films will show no dead spots.

We'll see.

My concern about that though Road, which I hope CD attendees can bring up when they go back, is it seems to be an issue with the Gameflow audio maybe overriding the in-game commentary from triggering.

Come t think of it, I will pose that question to ChaseB.

To add to that, sometimes the coordinators voice would over-ride the commentators. I'd like to find out if that has been addressed for gameflow.

By the kickoff, it wasn't just that the commentary stopped, but the crowd also got real quiet for a good five seconds, and then went nuts once the ball was kicked off. Unless this was on purpose so as to save it for the audio playbook, it seems that dynamic crowds/crowd swells are not in the game.

If they are using the same sound technology as NCAA, crowd swells will be in the game. They are for NCAA.

I assume that you are correct, but it was clearly not executed well in the webcast. I think that we'll hear good things on May 14 and that this was just a glitch.

Two other things I wanted to point out:
1) Why can't they get rid of the stupid flashbulbs popping out of the stands at all times. It kills the realism of the intro. The only time you ever see flashbulbs on TV is at the opening kickoff of the SB. The fact that they are there during the daytime on a regular game while there is nothing going on on the field is ridiculous. Kills, kills, kills the immersion.

2)The replays are still not how they should be. Madden keeps touting them as "straight out of NFL Films", but are NFL Films replay montages ever shown in-game, right after a play? Nope. What they should have is straight up, broadcast angle replays, from the blimp cam with commentary, or at full speed with the crowd sound without commentary. The way it is now creates long dead spots with out commentary or crowd noise. Again, it kills the immersion.

In 2008 many things happened. Paul Newman and Heath Leadger left us, Spain won the European Championship (deservedly), Paul Gasol was transferred from the Grizzlers to the Lakers (bad move Memphis !), Barack Obama became the first black president of USA, the fourth movie in the Twilight saga saw the light (unfortunately), the olympic games in Beijing and the wonderful and acclaimed Grand Theft Auto IV went out to the market. And I forgot, as usual the madden nfl is launched for pc with ps2 graphics.
However much annoyed to the pcgamers that the game didnt looked like the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, we understood that it was a matter of logic, because they needed to promote the new consoles. But in 2009, the complaints unfortunately would rise. The guys of Ea sports brok the heart of millions of fans (not exaggerating) bringing the sad news that they would stop to produce madden for pc because the piracy took money from their pockets .
It's been a while since that unjust decision and madden after madden we are excited that someone from ea notify us of a great comeback, but unfortunately this never happens. Even we endure the relase of maddens for smaller platforms (sorry if I offend someone) like wii, psp or the lovely ps2. Despite the anger and impotence, the pc gamers remains true to this franchise trying to keep squeezing that old game of 08, with the optimism that at some point we can enjoy a madden with the same graphics than the current consoles.

Luckily there are franchises like NBA 2k, fifa 2012 or nhl that respect everyone equally no matter in which platform enjoy your games. Hopefully ea follow this path, or else we have to wait and wait and wait or pray that 2KSports is made with the NFL license and remember us.

Oh man..this article put a HUGE SMILE on my face. One of the most glaring problems with Madden football games as far back as i can remember "seriously" has been the deadness of the game..no "soul", no "excitement" ..nodda, nothing, nathan..just pure dullness. Finally i see a new enthusiasm here with the presentation dept with madden which makes me smile.

I love the idea of adding both a boat load of cutscenes and various camera angles to mix up the entire deal here ..this is exactly how to make the cutscenes from repeating way to quickly throughout playing this game. Its going to boost the excitment level up a huge amount with the combination of the new play-by-play with the fresh new voices. Getting rid of gus and chris was a godsend ..seriously..i thought Chris was ok when he chimed in but gus....oh my goodness did that backfire so bad with madden. Now i heard a bit of the new commentary and i must say it sounds blistful to say the least. This will really make madden feel like a new revamped game presentation-wise along with the new HDR lighting of course.

Im excited..my wishes have been answered..the only thing i personally would love to see now is the ability to break tackles by quickly pressing a button to shake loose from a tackle and pressing a button to take down a ball carrier....this needs to be added to madden ..seriously..this tiny option would make so many gamers happy..i just KNOW IT!

First off, propers for using "nathan", that ish took me back. lol

Now, although I loved the rapid fire button mash of Tecmo Bowl, I think it would be a little dated for 2012 and beyond.

I'm not sure about having different presentation, but they did say each will "feel" different, whatever that means.
