How do I use updated rosters in season mode?? When it ask which rosters I want to use before starting a season, I choose saved. Then I pick an up to date roster but it always reverts back to default rosters when I start.

Yeah, pretty sure. When I go to choose a roster I have several saved. Some from the vault, and some from the games updated rosters. They are accurate when I play online or even in exhibition mode I believe.Comment

Nope, did not work. Nothing does. It plainly ask what type of roster I want to use for the season. I choose a saved one. It loads but does not take. Very frustrating. I then got to go in and rid my roster of players who should not be there (i.e. Madson, Masset). But it's not that easy cause these players can refuse to go to the miners and I end up having to release them. BUT then they end up on other teams and that sucks too. Like Madson ended up with the Pirates when he has no buisness being on anybody's roster. GrrrrrrComment

Actually, I'm having the same problem. I load the current rosters, start a new season (choose the "current" rosters) and end up with very out of date rosters in my season. I use the Blue Jays and my starting left fielder is Ben Francisco and my #4 starter is Brett Cecil. Not even close to the real rosters.Last edited by JeremyShanfield; 05-02-2012, 11:45 AM.Comment

The best solution I can give you is to stop playing SEASON and play FRANCHISE.
If you play FRANCHISE you can control all the players on all 30 teams and put them where you like.
If you have to release them, only you can pick them up because you will have total control.
You can assign the CPU to take care of training and budgets and whatever else you dont want to control.
But if you take control of trades and put force trades on, then you can place players where you see fit.Comment

I started a Season with a saved roster and no problem. First I load the saved roster, then I start my Season with Current roster and it loads as expected.Comment

I did the "current" roster thing too to no avail. I will try franchise mode and see if that works. Thanks for the advice all.Comment

Well, my game is just broke I guess. None of the suggestions worked although I do appriciate the advice. It's a terrible flaw that has pretty much ruined the game for me, but oh well. So now i'm in a season where Madson was claimed off waivers by Seattle. And I have to keep Massett stashed on my bench even though I really don't want to use him being he's injured in real life. But if I send him down he'll get claimed by another team.
Seems petty to some I know, but the real fun in this game for me is keeping my rosters as close to possible w/ the real club. I like to simulate a real season and see how close to realistic it can get. Oh well, still an "average" fun game, so i'll keep playing for awhile I guess.
And I still get the "that's his first career HR!!" every single time Brandon Phillips goes deep which is very irritating to me for some reason. I don't understand how one copy of this game can contain errors that other copies don't?? Aren't these disc just burned on an assembly line one right after the other? How can one be different from another?Comment

I can move players like Madson without him going through waivers?? Or, I can just stash him in my minors and forget about him without him being able to refuse the move?? I think I already tried this to no avail. I will look again though.Comment
