I felt like starting my franchise over anyway after the first "month"...I often do after the first go of it. So hopefully, this won't affect me.

Feel bad though for guys who were 50+ (or so) games deep and can't continue on...that's rough.

I spend HOURS doing the "wannabe" GM thing (I fret over A-ball guys) before season game 1 and would be mortified if the same had happened to me.

Downloaded the patch, had my Cubs franchise freeze. So instead of unpatching and not being able to play online I started a new franchise with the A's.

Played the first game and it freezes once again at the "player of the game" screen. I had this problem before, and turning the auto-save off helped remedy it, but once again with the auto save off it froze again.

This game is garbage.

You may want to do what I did. I deleted everything re: MLB 12 and then re installed the game, dl'd patches, etc. Now it plays like a champ

As much as I am dissappointed atm that I've lost my 150+ games played franchise file I will say this for the patch:

1) I don't know if it is just randomness but I swear to you (as I've seen other people say) that I am getting a messton more variation on things like bloop hits and little flares that drop. I had one earlier to day that I inside outed over the 2nd basemans head by mere inches. The only time I've ever done that so far this year (in around 150 games) were hard hit line drives that they don't jump high enough for. Have also had a few flare bloopers into the outfield as well which was a nice sight.

2) That's about it lol. Still waiting and hoping I get my near end of season 1 franchise file back right.

I agree heroes. Eventually there is going to be a patch with something important in it, or your brother will want to play online at least once, and then he will subject himself to all this nonsense at that point anyway. It's better to just download the patch now and start from there.

Yeah, I guess I'm still unsure.

If I knew what the 1.05 patch did, it would be a much easier call. My game (1.05) is perfect to me. But he can't have that version.

It's all or the unknown.

It's not the patch then. Delete all the game data, reinstall. Should be good.

I'd like an honest answer here on behalf of my brother (my love-fest with the game prompted him to pick up 12 yesterday).

He wants to know if he's be better off DL'ing the latest patch and starting a new Franchise or going completely 'Non-patched' like game was release out of the box?

He could probably safely do either, but since we don't know what 1.05 addressed, I don't know what to tell him?

Thoughts?

I've spent way more time testing this suff than I should have. If he's starting from scratch my recommendation is to patch it to 1.16. For new franchises or franchises started after 1.06 I haven't been able to make it break.

You need the patch to get online and dl rosters anyway.

I'm just like you, I even have a notebook where I write down all my rosters from MLB team to AA with how much money they make and how many years they are signed for. I find this easier then goingto the screen and scrolling. Then at the 1st of every month I write down their stats to see who is struggling and who is hot, and compare them from month to month. This also determines who should be sent down and who should be brought up from AAA. Needless to say I was 1 game out of the Central and tied for the wildcard spot with the Cubs when this all went down. I was a tad pissed to say the least.

My franchise is fixed. I can now look at box scores. My one game that had dissapeared has reappeared. Played a couple games no weird win loss records.
Simmed till end of season and teams finished with the proper number of games.

My franchise was in August.


I feel for those that are having problems. As for me I'm very happy.

I've been looking all over the place for someone who's had the same problem, and I can't seem to find it except for this reference you made, Cujomatty. I'm in the postseason and can't see any of the postseason box scores, for any teams. Regular season box scores are still available, but no postseason box scores. Opened all of my franchise files (I keep multiple saves going for paranoia reasons), and those in the postseason all have this problem. I've only noticed this problem post-1.16 patch, and it's the only problem I've had with any of the patches. Anyone else seeing this? Wondering if roster issues might be involved, but with all the different franchises I checked showing the same issue, it seems to be universal, not specific to any of the franchises themselves, which were started at different times and with different rosters.

Not the end of the world, but frustrating. Thinking of starting an entirely new franchise (with new rosters about to drop...) and seeing if the problem exists there.

Edit: Started a fresh franchise, with the latest online rosters, and simmed to the postseason...no box scores. Did the same with absolutely default rosters, different team, no postseason box scores. Checked minor leagues, too; regular season box scores available, postseason not. Seems universal at this point.

I went into "Game Data Utility" as well as "Saved Data Utility" and deleted every MLB 12 file. Reinstalled the game, dl'd the patches and now it plays fantastic. No problems at all. If I were in your situation that's what I would do. Couldn't hurt

Can someone please help me? I tried starting a thread but a mod locked it b/c this thread already being started even though I don't have any of the patch updates b/c my PS3 IS NOT online.

Franchise modes freezes OFTEN after a game is complete. I exit the game to return to the main menu and the loading screen stays up forever. The PS3 is not frozen, the game is. I do not have any patch as I am not connected online with my PS3. I play with OSFM rosters.

Someone please tell me how I can avoid this issue. Franchise is like 80% of the game for me and it's making it unbearable to play. I'm tired of playing great games with great stats and it just freezing on me when I try to go back to the main menu after the game.

Are post season box scores NOT showing up an issue with all Franchises???? Even ones started after DL'ing 1.16?

Could someone that started fresh with a new Franchise AND the new patch please check for me?

I just had my brother DL the patch. He started his new Franchise last night. Will he experience this problem???
