I agree it does not make sense to pay $60 bucks for an arcade style sports game. They usually get stale quicker and lack a lot of substance the simulation variety of sports games offer. Though I think the developers need to start looking at their games and saying is this really worth $60 dollars? Will we get more sales from a game that is a little cheaper, which people are willing to buy since the price starts to get closer to the impulse buy. This of course is intended for all genres not just sports.

I think Blitz hit the nail on the head releasing on XBLA/PSN at $15 bucks. At $40 or $60 dollars I would not have touched it, but at $15 I was willing to try it out and had a blast with it. No, it does not keep me coming back like NCAA Football does, but for $15 dollars that is okay because I received my moneys worth.
