Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
Dang. I was hoping this would be in. Luckily for me, I have copious amounts of time to spend playing video games and would only use it sparingly. But, it sucks for those people with kids and little time to spare."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
You'd think if SCEA can make something like cross platform saves work between the PS3 and the Vita, by now EA could make something like in game saves work.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
It is an issue with me. Two sons that play the ps3, as well as the wife and daughter who play and the youngest girl who wants to watch Netflix, the in game save is huge for me. Why I can save after every hole in Tiger Woods but not save at the end of a quarter is a terrible mistake.Comment

The only reason any of us are pointing out this problem is because the game sound good and worth playing. If I thought the game was going to suck I would care. The other problem I have had is playing all the way the second half or forth quarter only to have the game freeze. This also happens in Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim but, I would already saved it in-game. It happened a lot more on NCAA 10 and has gotten better but, it still happens. Everything about the game sounds great it's just crazy that they dropped the ball with this yet again.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
Yeah, given the history of the XBOX 360 and its fail rate, I wouldn't be comfortable leaving it on and paused for hours on end, let alone days.
Though I personally am not bothered by its omission, at least for this year, I can fully understand the frustration over the lack of this feature.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
This bugs me to no end. In-game saves should be available, and it's so frustrating that it's not.
More and more gamers are older, and yet, as we get older, we have other things going on, and we can't always sit down for an hour to play. Sometimes I have 20-30 minutes to jump in and play something, and I'll throw in something that doesn't require a huge time commitment, or allows in game saves, like 2K or The Show.
And not just these sports games...I would rather play adventure/RPG games that allow for frequent saves, as opposed to those games with a long time between save points.
These are GAMES...they are supposed to be fun. Let us have fun on our own terms.Playing:

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
Exactly my thoughts.Sure it might not matter some people, but it's another last-gen feature that has yet migrate to the current-gen...seven years later. Especially since it's been on the community wishlist for a while now. This feature seems like it's pretty standard across sports gaming...and gaming in general. Not an intelligent move by EA Sports...
Almost every night I play 15 minutes of NBA 2K12 while my wife showers. Once she is done I "save and quit." This allows me to sneak in 3-4 extra games per week.
But I cannot do this with any EA Sports titles.
In short, this makes me (and many others) play EA's games less. Yet they fail to realize this is bad for them.EA: Please add in-game saves.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
This has never been an issue for me. I live alone, I only start games when I know I can finish them and in the event something comes up, I've got no problem leaving my system on for however long to finish.
However, this seems like one of those features that should be a common sense add by EA. It cannot possibly be that difficult to employ, given its use in damn near every other game of the type (some for many years). I had a post on here a few weeks back about how most popular sports games have had the basics right for a few years and just subtly improve each year, meanwhile EA still struggles getting the most fundamental basics down. This is one of those basic fundamental things that EA seems to ignore in lieu of insane features no one really cares that much about.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
This would be nice to have but with all the improvements they did make i'm sure this was not a high priority. I don't really understand the outrage, especially when people who have been playing it and dealing with it through last years bug infested game are now calling it a dealbreaker. To each his own i guess.Last edited by w00dy Hayezz; 05-10-2012, 07:39 AM.Xbox Live Gamertag: Smoothzilla

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
I understand the frustration and would love to see in-game saves implemented, however at this point I'm pretty much over it and have accepted that we probably won't see them (for NCAA and Madden) on this generation of consoles.
I especially feel for those of you with kids because I know your gaming time can be scarce. I don't have any kids so when I sit down to play I know that I am unlikely to be bothered for the next hour or so. I think that I used an in-game save a total of 1 time each for NBA 2K12 and MLB 2K12. If an emergency came up and I had to leave, I certainly wouldn't leave my console on for hours on end. I would just turn it off. My gaming is not that serious, so I'd just restart the game before I chanced the likelihood of getting a RRoD.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: NCAA Football 13 Will Not Feature In-Game Saves
Aside from whether or not it's needed by me, you or anyone else the real question is IS IT REALLY THAT DIFFICULT OR TIME CONSUMING TO PUT THIS IN??
I mean c'mon, it's not that important to me, although I'd like it, but it's obvious that every single year this is a HUGELY important feature to many folks out there and yet it's ignored.
Very frustrating, come on EA, get with it and get this in so it's a non-issue!!Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Exactly. I am not outraged about it. I just can't understand why it's not in yet. To hear people say things about all the other features and how it just wasn't a priority is just silly. What if being able to save a game at all wasn't a priority? An in game save is a basic function of most games. It's not a new feature. If games on the Saga had this then it should be common by now. Actually it is common in basically every other game. I will be buying the game but, I get tired of people taking up for EA on stuff like this.Aside from whether or not it's needed by me, you or anyone else the real question is IS IT REALLY THAT DIFFICULT OR TIME CONSUMING TO PUT THIS IN??
