What if connected careers connected the careers of NCAA 13 and Madden 13, I mean NCAA does have a mock draft, would NCAA just make up the draft order based on real life, randomly or could there be something to connect what's going on in Madden with NCAA over the internet.

That would be pretty cool, and the fact that they made the controls the same for both games this year must mean they have been working together at least a little.

Maybe Trey Wingo will give you league and draft updates, idk but i can only assume that connected careers would "Connect" your "Careers"

Well I'm glad we got Treywingo on board with Madden13 announcer crew. No matter how they use him. It will add some excitement into the presentation this year. I have no complaints what so ever about him been in the game. Madden13 and NCAA13 info just keeps getting better and better. I think I've been tossed onto the hype train by EA now. LOL

Sounds good if it is true he will giving either in game updates or weekly wrap up show. It will definitely bring some life into franchise mode. Not going to get my hopes up too high until I see what is actually going to be implemented

LOL what else would they have him do? I mean he's already confirmed he's in the game and he showed us a picture of his desk in front of a green screen.

Not saying this is it but remember when they touted Erin Andrews in NCAA football. Normally she is a sideline reporter, but she did that Road to Glory studio thing. He could be doing something with Super Star mode or something along those lines. Again, I am sure its the studio show, but I still like to see it first. Also, I am hoping it is implemented better than the extra point. I am optimistic.

No. Someone who got to play a pre alpha version of the game at one of the events said the halftime show only showed a few highlights and wasn't anything special. But that wasn't the final version of the game.

I think so, seems like confirmed a halftime and end game montage with highlights, including a stat breakdown. Young explains briefly at around the 7:35 mark until about the 9:00 mark.

Personally, I think it may be better and more practical than an entire halftime show, if done well.

I think there is a good chance with Trey Wingo of receiving a weekly wrapup Show in Franchise mode though. This wouldn't have been practical in NCAA 13, imo, due to so many teams and games. However, in Madden, with their only being 16 games a week at the max, this type of addition seems far more practical.

While I am not expecting that wrapup show to have video, there may be a slim chance of video highlights for User games at least, if the system saves the halftime and end game montages. The Extra Point had the ability to select an audio breakdown for each game as well as a basic presentation for players of the week. With almost 3 years to build on that, it could be possible that we can access video montages from played User games in a similar fashion.

Would be pretty tight to be in a 32 User online franchise and view the video montages from every game at the end of the week.

Hold up, we can't rule out a halftime show or post game show just yet. EA said the stuff they showed was pre-alpha, and even though with EA's history we know there probably isn't that much truth to that, you never know. It could be in the works right now. Also hopeful of a dynamic franchise mode, that would be great. Actually if you look at the menu screenshot in M13, you'll notice franchise mode is gone, it's been replaced by something else, at least as far as we can see... Hm... At any rate, I really think this game has a lot of potential, I'm looking forward to it. It's looking great so far.

But didn't they take it out because it was incomplete and did they not say they wanted to flesh it out and be something they are proud of...??

That being said...3 yrs would be enough to flesh it out, highlights and all right? Or else they pretty much just took it out to bring it back still incomplete.

A halftime show to me is one of those things that sounds cool, but after hearing him repeat himself will end up getting skipped. I rarely watch my replays at the end of any sports games so I'm certainly not going to watch them rehash it in the same commentary as the last 5 games.

That being said, it's cool they added it in, so fans of the other football game can stop bringing it up.

Unless Madden drops something spectacular my next purchase of this game will be when they add in a true Online Franchise. I haven't bought it since '09 and haven't a missed a thing. Online Dynasty changed football for me. Still can't understand why they don't bring it into Madden along with in-game saves and proper foot planting/motion rather than all these other gimmicks

Studio updates, like NCAA 13 is doing, would be a welcome addition. I'm a bit lukewarm on a weekly wrap up show, unless they improve upon The Extra Point.
