How old is your ps3?

It really seems like its your hardware. I saw a post where u said u didn't think it was your ps3 because it played fine before. Remember everything is that way. A persons car works fine before it breaks.

I think u should try to either
1 rent the game and try it
2 try your game on another ps3

It doesn't seem like your trying to Eliminate possibilities. And the community can't help anymore than they have.

If you can figure out that the problem is definetly not on your end, SCEA and the community would maybe better be able to help your problem.

For better or worse, I downloaded the patch, because I have a friend who planned on starting online, and I wanted to play with him.

I loaded franchise (pre-patch April, 3 games in) and it loaded my series against Toronto just fine it seems, but I'm going to play it cautious, and keep notes on anything that changes.

I should be fine, given most of the complaints seem to be about the game post ASB...

My question is... if I have a franchise past the ASB in the second year, would it be corrupted? Because I have one of those that me and a friend do when he's over. It'd suck to have to do it over again. Not to say I wouldn't, but man, that's some effort.

Not even sure what this patch really even does yet. Wasn't sure it needed to be patched. But hey, I'm a gamer, not a programmer. We'll see what happens I suppose.

Yes all other games are fine I never move the ps3. And this disc has no sctratches at all on it

After 5 or 6 games played into my pre patch franchise, I'm not noticing any of these freezing issues.

However... I have noticed something disturbing that I hope to god gets fixed.

Every single game I have played, I have hit at least 5 home runs. Including 4 in one game from Dustin Pedroia. I love Pedey as much as any Sox fans, but I shouldn't be able to hit that many (at Toronto's ball park no less) with him.

I get players have hot streaks.. but this is ridiculous.

It's the same as a pitcher. I have given up very few hits since the patch (I'm good at striking out the AI.) but almost all of them are ridiculously powerful. Sinkers down in the zone are going all over the place. And I'm no expert, but generally sinkerball pitchers get lucky with groundouts. I still get a good amount of ground balls, but I gave up 3 home runs in one game off the sinker. And they were fading away from the batter too. So I'm just a little irritated with that.

Aside from that, the patch doesn't seem to have changed a lot for me. I'm hoping they fix what they broke when it comes to RTTS, since I'm almost confident it froze mine. And I am not starting a new one for a while.

If it's only happening when you visit free agency, there is a roster integrity issue with that custom roster.

I would take a look at the transactions list and check to see who was released. There may be a "bad" player on the FA List or somehow the max/min number of players on the roster was breached, causing the freeze.

Do all other teams have a full roster?

Quick question....I have a pre 1.06 franchise started on my PS3 that I used clouds save with my Vita. I'm in the last week of April or so. Once 1.06 came out and I saw so many people have problems I decided to not download. Can I continue this franchise with new patch 1.16 and updating my VITA so I can take advantage of cloud saves again? Or do I need to start new Franchise?

I'm not sure. Was it the first Seattle-Oakland game? That's the one that disappeared for me yet the stats the players accumulated during that game stayed with them.
