Wow! After reading through this whole thread I have decided not to get the game after all. I was excited to wake up in the morning , take my Son to school and drop by walmart to pick it up, but just way too many bugs and way too many disappointed owners of the game.

From now on I am waiting before I buy any sports game to read what others have to say about them. I am not going to buy a guy only to have it take up a spot in my game rack and just collect dust.

Thanks to all in advance who have posted their issues about the game, "sigh" sucks but I guess no baseball game for me again this year.

All the people who are having these bugs seem to be players who started the game pre patch.

Since you haven't picked up the game yet, you have no files to corrupt. At the very worst, you just don't update to the latest patch.

Don't let a few people and a patch scare you off this game. It's the best baseball game on the market, and no game is without it's bugs.

I haven't even experienced any bugs yet. So I'm not sure how to react to all these people who are having bugs.

Update thru today 5/14/2012 :I have played all games ( RTTS ) into July 2016 & Season 2012 , again I have still had no problems with either patches ( no freezes what so ever ). NOTE: I only play Season and RTTS and no online

Don't let the updates scare you away from an amazing baseball game !!!

I think people are being a bunch of babies. So restart your franchise life goes on.... simulate a couple games.

Same here. No problems whatsoever, and I started my RTTS on release day, and my franchise the day OSFM Spring released. I even made a video of me trying to get it to freeze. I've tried other times to try to get both my franchise and RTTS (which is past the All-Star break) to freeze, with no luck.

I think the majority of people are NOT having problems, but we typically only see post from people who are experiencing issues.

I definitely don't see any reason to forego the game, especially if you don't already have it. These are the people who are most likely not to have any problems.

Yep.

Its like a complaints show, those with problems shout loudest (and rightfully so), its the other 98% who stay silent you never hear from. Why? Because they have no problems at all.

Ok! lol, I will give it a shot because I have never owned any previous "The Show" tittles.

I hear you guys on that only the people who "do" experience problems complaint and rightfully so, but like you guys said, I should not let only the hand few scare me away.

I will give it a shot, heck if I have given Madden the "benefit of a doubt" all these years why not The Show right?

I am on my way to drop off my Son at school and I will be stopping by my local walmart! Thank you guys, you guys suckered me in! lol...

Since installing update 1.16 it seems that MLB 12 The Show freezes everytime when viewing replays after the game is over.

And I have to keep hitting the power button on my PS3 to restart it

Is this a known issue or will I need to uninstall and reinstall the game?

I was someone who did just move on after having their franchise freeze and just started a new one, but for those who had their franchises/RTTS freeze literally days before the end of the season or were years deep and invested time and money into them, they're just being babies because they're upset about that? You've got to be kidding me.

I wasn't buying the fact this game got blindly defended around here before but seeing these posts (moreso from two long-time supporting members) is starting to make me think otherwise. I really don't see how the people that are legitimately getting problems should be brushed off as "just being babies". That's a joke.

Yeah, because I was definitely blindly defending the game where? I gave my experience thus far, that just happens to be positive (sorry my game isn't broken). Actually going back, I do see where you may see where I was calling someone a baby, looking at the quoted text of someone saying it. That was an incorrect quote, obviously since my reply had no relevance to the quote (should have been a quote of legacyme3's post.) All in all, I've been trying to help people with their issues, and offer possible feedback.

I think this is silly. I've been relatively silent and I'm having problems. I'm certainly not the only one.

I love the game but both my franchise and my RTTS got killed and are now unplayable.

The cross-platform issue is a serious bummer because i bought a Vita pretty much just to play this game.

I guess I could start over but I was 4 years deep in RTTS and it just sapped my enthusiasm. I started a new Franchise and tried making a RTTS pitcher to do something different until this gets fixed but I've kind of lost my desire.

It's a bummer.

But thanks to you and everyone for their input on the game. I haven't bought a baseball game for either console since MLB 2K7 and I have been jonesing for some baseball action and I got pulled back in! lol...

I will let you guys know what I experience once this thing finishes up downloading and all...
