When I hear physics I'm comparing EVERYTHING to backbreaker's Physics system. What we saw on that kickoff a few weeks ago was no where no backbreaker's level of Physics. sorry if I come off negative towards Madden but I'm just stating how I feel.

Well after you play it you can feel free to make that statement, until then you are stuck with my impressions. (Btw I hated user catching in Madden 12... It WAS cheap)i'd rather have strategy and good decision making than some scrub user catcher that makes the dumbest decisions ever, but still throws for huge gains and touchdowns simply because they know how to exploit the game. well, i could do it, too. but it's cheap and it's instantly obvious the moment you start doing it.

well i have played alot of user games and the truth is i would say 80% of the guys i have played user caught between 0 and 3 catches that tells me that most guys are not very good at it. I would bet that over half the guys that get on here and brag about all they do is user catch are not very good are it either. and no i am not referring to any certain person. however with that said from what i understand this game should be a bit easier to user catch and i hope that is the case I think it would really open the game up for more less talented players.Comment

Not a lot things could cause Madden to completely crash and burn with almost all of their customer base, but, IMO, utilizing Backbreaker-like physics would be one of them.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Speaking for strictly offline right now... In the past one of the main gripes with A.I. controlled WR's/DB's was they weren't aggressive or smart enough. Therefore, if I'm playing the CPU and an using user catch, I have a clear advantage over the CPU.Why not?!? Over powered user catching was one of ky pet peeves from last year. What?!? You haven't heard me complain about scrubs becoming studs because of user catching in my YouTube vids lol?!? I wouldn't be giddy about it if it was like last year, you are gonna have to trust me until you get hands on.

I don't user catch and prefer to play in leagues that have a no user catch rule (this is with NCAA, haven't played Madden in 3 or 4 years).
My question is, why would we need to get good at user catching if there is no advantage to it? If we as the QB are able to make throws to get our WRs open, why wouldn't the CPU be able to choose the right catch animation for that situation? (that's the impression that I'm getting by getting good at user catching).
That's always been my issue with the user catch is that it is way overpowered and gives an advantage to the HUM player over the CPU player. The statement that we had better learn how to user catch leads me to believe this is still the case... or that there is something the CPU can't/won't do that we have to make up for as the user.

Defenders go after the ball like crazy. If you sit back and expect the cpu receiver to do everything for you, then you will be missing out on a large portion of what makes this game good. The game is made to switch and take control of the defender/receiver. I can't see any reason personally why a league wouldn't allow user catching for M13 at this point. Madden 12 yes, I could understand that. To me that would be like banning touching the sticks at all other snapping the ball. So it sounds like you're saying the CPU defensive player is more aggressive than the CPU offensive player, and the HUM player needs to switch in order to even the scales? I'm not trying to sound standoff-ish, really. Many of you guys are trying to base my impressions off of Madden 12... STOP
. It's a completely different game. You have already seen video of the new defensive stuff and new offensive stuff. You already know about the game being steered towards user control. I'm just giving you the feelings I had playing the game. If I say user catching is easier and more realistic at the same time it should mean that everyone is put on the same level when using the same players. This is NOT Madden 12, nor is it your daddy's Madden. You can feel free to look me up after E3 and/or the actual release date. As long as things don't change for the worse between now and then...my sentiments are echoed by every attendee including a member of TSS, TSO, MPOA, Shopmaster, MB, OS... It's not a conspiracy. I WILL be posting impressions on other things and more on this when I can elaborate further at a later date.
