That was probably off a commercial break but yes they did cut to the field quickly(although it cut to game start, not warm ups, etc). I actually like the way they did it better then Madden's and this is kind of what I had in mind with my last comment on them saying something quick and then going down to the field for kickoff. My main complaint was the fact poor Simm's didn't even get to say anything with the camera on him, lol. I didn't think they would want to scrap their work, so bringing them back into the booth for a 10-15 second clip would give Simm's a chance to speak and complete it, and also give a nice look IMO on fading it down to the kickoff.

I think your video is exactly how I would have done this. It keeps the entire Nantz/Simm's portion of the pregame intro short and it felt complete. Time was giving to Nantz and Sim's in front of camera to speak and they said what needed to be said to get the game started. The way madden did it just didn't flow IMO. Went from feeling like a pregame to a kickoff in a way that wasn't smooth.

I'd love to see player intro's again (comepleted) and then kick it over to something like your above video with nanyz and Simm's. that would be pretty awesome. again, were all different. Some might not think my idea is a good one.

As long as EA's intro flows and feels complete, I will like it. How they piece together their scenes makes a huge difference

I do think the guys in the booth have to be shown a few times per game, or it's going to feel weird. Like i said, it has to feel complete. Seeing them once feels very unfinished to me because once you open up to a in booth view, you have to keep up with it. I like the idea of cutting to the booth briefly before halftime show, and again at game end. maybe after a extra point(drive review-can skip) and maybe in 4th quarter to show some key moment in game highlights(like they do on TV). Again, all these can be skipped. While this is a lot of work, it will make that feature be something that is remembered for years to come. Some people adjust sliders for full length game and would welcome extended scenes.
