Warm-up pitches off skips the 8 warm-up pitches when a pitcher enters the game. I've got it set this way in my dynasty.

I think you still have to warm them up in the bullpen though before bringing them into the game. I don't think there's any way around that.

But you dont have to. You can take them from the bench to the mound and they are warm and ready.

You learn something new everyday. I always figured that just skipped the warm-up pitches. I always warm my relievers up before bringing them in anyway.

I never ever ever warm my pitchers in the pen.
They go from bench to mound always and they are always warm... ALWAYS.

then this will definitely need to change because I believe it works the same way for online and with leagues people are always warming up pitchers even though this is set to off. Is there another setting as well though??

Online settings and Offline settings are different.
You know that.

There's a lot you can do offline that you cant do online.

Pistol, sounds like you'd still have to manage the bullpen in terms of choosing which reliever you want to come into the game. You could turn the Warm-Up option off and then after you finish hitting, make the pitching change and the reliever will be warm and then you can simulate.

The only thing with simulating pitching is that once you start the simulation (skip ahead to next half-inning), you're leaving all decisions up to the AI in terms of how long to leave a guy in or when to make a change.

It's a dice roll, for sure.

In simming, warming relievers is not necessary unless youre in MOM.
If your warm up is ON, youll have to warm them in the pen and then are given the option of an 8 pitch warm up.

With warm up OFF, you dont need to do either

I was always under the impression it worked the way Hustlin described. The description is kind of ambiguous now that I read it. My understanding is that with it On, warming up in the bullpen will only make them reach, say, 75% warm at maximum, and the on-field warm-ups are required to make the pitcher fully warm.

I definitely want to see an answer from the devs though.

Thats not the case because you can over warm you bullpen pitcher and tire him out. Thats why they added the toss and stretch so you dont tire out your pen.

When the game says he's warm.... he's warm and ready to play, with or without 8 warm ups.
The 8 warm ups will take him to 100% but skipping the 8 will do the same.

So you can take someone straight off the bench and they will be warm? The setting description is ambiguous IMO.

With "Warm Up Pitchers" OFF... Yes, that is correct!
