What June 4th means to NCAA 13.

With the hype continuing to build for E3 and Madden 13 on June 4th, what might this mean to NCAA Football 13?

Rumors have been lighting up the Madden thread with Real Time Physics (RTP) or RTP-Based Tackling being the "Monumental" change to gameplay (The latter is what I believe, because earlier in the development cycle EA stated that this Madden would "make defense fun" and now its touted as a "monumental" gameplay change).

If these rumors are true, or even if they aren't, how does the big gameplay annoucement affect NCAA 13 OR does it not affect it at all?

I can say with almost 100% certainty that whatever this change to Madden is, it won't be there for NCAA. I don't know why they'd do that, but it certainly seems to be the case. That said however, if it is a "monumental" change, than NCAA will definitely see some of the action the year after.

i've never been so underwhelmed by an NCAA game at this point than i am this year. At this point last year i was at least getting hyped up because NCAA 11 wasn't turrible but this year everything i see looks like NCAA 12.5 which is not good because NCAA 12 was a step back.

So technically it would be NCAA 11.5.5?

Judging from the USC vs. Oregon video yesterday, anything madden announces on June 4th will not be in NCAA this year

June 4th means nothing for NCAA 13.

Considering that NCAA comes out before Madden, and Madden is EA Sports' baby, I don't think they would've leaked any info just for NCAA's benefit. It could very well still be in NCAA 13. They just can't tell you until Madden announces it.

On the other hand, this is a make or break year for Madden, and they wouldn't want NCAA to steal its thunder. I could see them skipping the big gameplay change until next year for NCAA; after EA locks up the NFL exclusive license... Again.

I thought I read that EA had the same guys working on both games this year so that nothing is left out of one that could be included in the other.

Gotta love how they didn't at least attempt to update the graphics in 3 years. Makes me wonder what do they really do when making these games.

I'll be tuning in on June 4th to see if Pastapadre's EA "source" (who said the "monumental change" in Madden is also in NCAA this year) is full of it or not.

I heard about this in the Madden forum, but I misread it. Pasta didn't post this, but it came from his website:

I had just gotten word from a friend of a friend who is a dev-tester for EA Tiburon. He is testing the game for the E3 presentations upcoming in June. He said this..."Madden 13 will BLOW YOUR MIND...", and..."Absolutely no one is prepared for what they will finally see on June 4th...", and the best quote from him..."This makes Backbreaker look like a game that was created by elementary kids..." WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU!!!! YES!!!! There should be some form of RTP implemented in Madden 13 for sure! He also went on to say that all of the gameplay videos for both Madden and NCAA 13 are from last years build with the new features thrown in...There has NOT been one gameplay video that are fully the '13 editions regarding gameplay. He did say one accidently sneaked out during the presentation blog for Madden 13...Can we say the Bengals vs. Steelers opening kickoff, anyone? THAT WAS RTP on tackling..."EA is gonna steal E3 this year...I promise!" He couldn't go into details as I was grilling him with questions...I KNOW FOR A FACT IT IS REAL-TIME PHYSICS! It has to be...So pumped right now...LOL!
I'm not saying that I believe it. In fact, I don't believe it at all. But dammit, I can hope.
