OS Tip of the Day: Be a Trader in The Show

Be Active on the Trade Market

Playing simulation baseball is entertaining, so why not keep it real and try and be active in trading like the pros constantly are?

Obviously, depending on how well your team is performing, you could be trading young prospects for veterans or vice-versa. Either way, the trade deadline is the perfect place to keep building a solid foundation for your organization.

Every good baseball businessman knows how to wheel and deal, your success in an MLB 12: The Show franchise will be made in knowing how to do the same.

What was your best trade you ever pulled off?

i've made two trades in my indians franchise:
    matt laporta for adam lind.
shelly duncan for coco crisp and manny ramirez.

adam lind leads my team in homers and isn't a normal starter. love him

that may not sound like a big deal, but in terms of salary and what i'm trying to do with my indians franchise, crisp is a reliable lead off guy with speed in the outfield and on the basepaths. manny however, was sent to Triple-A and broke his leg in the first game of the season and is out for a few months. no worries though, he'll be called up down the road for some power.

king Felix and a prospect for Harper and zimmerman. Then aquired Yavoni P from Milwaukee for CF and prospect then turned around and aquired longoria and moore for zimmerman and prospects. I have an awesome offense fro Seattle now but a very thin farm.

I got A-Rod for a 20-something year old C prospect on the Royals. It seems to me the Yankees will get rid of everyone on the tram for someone younger.

          For my Rays Franchise:

Price/Zobrist/Pena to the Royals for Hochevar/Gordon/Hosmer.

Cuts some payroll and gives me 2 players under team control for a few more years.
