It sounded like you said the CB hesitates when the ball is caught to see which way the WR is going, if that is what you meant, then anyone who played football knows that is the last thing you wanna do. You hit the WR soon as he touches the football in hopes of knocking the ball loose, and atleast preventing him from breaking your ankles for a touchdown because you wanted to see which way he was going to "own" you (; If you meant something else, please elaborate lol.
