Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
Really liking the new passing game but I still need to get used to it more. Had a nice play with RG3 where in ncaa 12 the pass would have been picked, but the lb wasnt looking and the reciever caught it. Plus a few nice jump balls with te and wr. I still think madden will be a level above but hard to tell without playing it myself. The slow down feature seems kinda dumb for qb but it might be better with a rb or wr.
Also, I'm usually not a big graphics guy, but very impressed with bama vs lsu at night how everything looked, seemed really real.Last edited by bigbails35; 06-05-2012, 01:51 PM.NCAA - MSU, The U(for fun)

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
Not yet.
Yes2) Does the demo have commentary?
Not sure, but Baylor's looks a little better than last year I think. K-State's section looks a little more colorful too. I'll have to pop in 12 to compare.3) How does USC's crowd look?

The Oregon QB is giving me fits, and their tempo isn't letting me find the spy plays fast enough.Comment

Did not get sacked on the PA pass. In fact I probably threw the ball too soon out of habit. Gonna try a few more.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

thx Tracer
I'm hoping the crowd got some love (or at least a little bit more this year). Incredibly glad to hear no olympic high jumping lb'sComment

First off, motion blir is not apart of gameplay. Just like the grass last year was only presentation, so is motion blir.
The game runs much differently than NCAA 12. Much smoother. The players play more off of a 'read and react' basis.
Have not seen any phsychic DBs.
New animations are in
Crowd Chants/ Stadium Sounds are in
The new passing game is a huge improvement.
No superman LBs so far, but i have seen a few make some athletic, realistic plays.
My overall impression is that this game is better than NCAA 12.Comment

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
my feedback is only on the CPU.
Punters still have no AI awareness IMO.
QB seems to scramble with a purpose right now....(But they did in last years demo aswell til EA released the patch).
I still haven't really seen CPU RB's react much different from last year with the ball.
I've seen some nice looking plays in the passing game by the CPU but it's hard to tell if they use those new catch animations because the situations didn't call for it so far.
acceleration by DT's is still insane IMO....not sure if it's because the game speed is not on slow. But the DT's seem to get a burst of speed when chasing the QB.
I also wish EA would include the same passing game ratings they have for Madden in NCA because you can't really tell the difference between QB's on the deep ball or medium pass.
I switched off between teams using Baylor and Kansas St test playing both CPU offenses.
later on I'll try the USC matchup and focus only on both CPU teams.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
Just played as USC and here is what I noticed...
The new passing is real nice. No more lob passes that have punt trajectories.
The players move more fluid like and not as robotic as before.
The QB runs happen fast as Oregon's QB gashed me for 28 yards on a read/zone run.
You can run fade routes at the goal line much easier due to the new trajectories and much easier to user catch the ball.
I usually play on slow speed so it feels like everyone drank a 24 pack of redbulls right now.BuffEye Rosters available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The most in-depth roster for NCAA 14 and beyond.

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
Nice diving tackle to stop their receiver after he caught it on the run on a Go route.
One thing that still needs work imo is the option play (not read option). Still only getting those one yard gains even with the proper decisions by the CPU.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

The juke actually works pretty well for cutbacks. Had no room to the outside but managed to get 4 yards by cutting the other direction.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS
I feel like they tightened up the locomotion from last year. It felt very easy to overrun plays last year, but this year there's more control while still retaining the feel and look of last year's locomotion system.Comment

Loving it so far.
Oregon just ran some nice read option O on me. Bennett racked up 30-35 yards on the first drive.
Catching looks very good and passing feels a lot smoother."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

CPU ran an option on me and the rb ran backwards. Wasn't even in the picture to receive a pitch.Comment
