i dont like the reaction time. it was like in madden when you could re-do a play. pfff, we dont want that. we want realism.

I love how smooth the passing game is now. When you catch it in stride there's no more hitch for that split second after the catch and you can just keep going.
I hit the tight end on the post and in 12 he would have been tackled by the safety right after the catch, but I was able to evade him for the 3 yards I had left before the endzone.
I also keep throwing the ball a little too early or scramble earlier than I have to. The instant DT sacks have really been toned down.
The wide receiver awareness works great. There hasn't been an instant where he should be looking for the ball and hasn't. I wonder if this will change though for receivers that are rated low.
I'm playing on a tube tv and don't see the ticker at the bottom and the auto swivel coach cam is really irritating.
CPU punters will try to coffin corner you. USC just pinned me at the 6 punting from their 45.
Names really pop out now and I love the new kick return camera.
The game has a different feel to it, but it is much improved. Can't wait for July 10!If for any reason you're not completely satisfied, I hate you.Comment

This game is very solid right now ive never been able to get a read option from a non flex set to work till now... pa dosent get blew up evreytime the zone defense defenders dont jus stand flat footed the pass blocking has improved only thing that could be slightly better is the pass rush im very impressed......Comment

Half way through my Bama vs LSU game, playing as Bama. My CPU controlled DT has 5 sacks in the 1st half, DEs have none. Still not seeing any new catch animation by WRs. I don't USER catch, so hopefully it isn't a USER CATCH ONLY thing like it was last year.
WRs just aren't aggressive.
DBs on the other hand are VERY aggressive. They dive and jump for damn near every pass !
Even had a Defensive End DIVE for a tipped pass. But yet my WRs won't dive or jump for anything.
Screen plays by the CPU this game are still getting blown up in the backfield like it was in my last game I played.
Reece Davis......sounds annoying, his voice sounds off and don't flow correctly. I have already started skipping through his studio updates.
Game feels and looks much like NCAA 12. So I would consider this NCAA 12 with a patch. Graphically though, game looks DULL, very DULL. Don't know what is up with that.
Passing is legit......much improved.Comment

Passing game is nice. Corners, comebacks, and outs are work like they should. Even when I throw the ball on a comeback and the WR isn't "looking" at the time, the ball goes right where it should and he's able to nab it. Even Play Action didn't end in an automatic sack.
Feels really good. This demo is reeeaaaallllllllyyyyy fast, though.
The presentation is horrid. The Bottom Line is quite distracting. Maybe too immersed as I want to look down at the fancy movement at the bottom of the screen out of habit instead of my receivers downfield. The cut-ins suck. I'm already skipping them. When I get to my own dynasty, and the updates are about "real" games going on at the time, I may care more, though. I let the intro play all the way through, and saw nothing to make me not want to skip it like normal.
The only good thing that happened presentation wise was after I threw a TD pass, the announcer said "...and that's his 25th touchdown pass of the season." Giving actual stats like that in commentary is nice.Comment

default game speed seems to have been slowed down..
studio update right after the first play between Virgina Tech and Miami.. awesome!!
lighting seems a lot better as well!!
option wise, you can change controls like last year, auto strafe on and off, auto sprint on or off, auto passing on or off.. etc!!
first play on defense, i go into adjustments.. i set strip ball to aggressive (to see if it has been toned down from last year), snap, i go to strip ball, reach in, and FUMBLE.. Baylor ball.. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!! i hope they can tone that down with a tuner or it was a fluke LOL..
Halftime I'm up 17-3.
3 strip attempts 3 fumbles. I recovered two of the 3. No facemasks as of yet.
Plus keep in mind, I'm sure demo is on the tampon level. Maybe that's why so many fumbles with that set to aggressive.
Having control of passing the ball is very nice as well. Bullet passes, lobbed balls etc.
I moved that strip aggressive setting down at the half. Stripped two more on balanced. Has to be the level it's set on.
ESPN Presentation is very nice. Adds to the game big time.
Overall IMO the animations are so much more fluid.
The QB movement in the pocket with r stick while avoiding sacks is solid.
Pump faking by holding LB and pressing WR button is very cool.
Timing with the icons lighting up is neat as well.
I ended up winning 24-10. All quarters were 3 mins.
Pretty impressed how everything flowed together.
i dont know if my eyes were deceiving me, but i swear late in the game, KSU was out of time outs and they picked up a first down with a 15 yard pass, the WR went down to the ground on his own. i didnt tackle him or anything, was that clock/time awareness? or just the way he caught the ball and fell down? hmmmmm..Twitch

I went home at lunch and played 1 game. I did not really enjoy '12, I could never find a slider set that worked for me, either I dominated or got dominated. With that being said I played as LSU against Bama, the pre-game presentation virtually unchanged from last year. That did not bother me at all, I watch those pregame animations and cut scenes once anyway. Bama kicked and I returned with Mathieu to about the 20. I ran first play off tackle with Ware for about 15 yards cutting back against the grain. I then I had a couple of short runs and converted a third and 9 across the middle to Shepard. I threw an out on 2nd down that was a thing of beauty Bama was in zone with corner either playing the flats or just very short when I release I pushed left and the timing was perfect hit Shepard again for a first down. I then had a sack (on a screen) on first down, then a drop by Sheppard on a come back (perfect throw) and then converted a third and long again throwing a perfect lob down the sideline between the corner and the safety (it looked very realistic). I think pounded the ball between the tackles for another first down that setup first and goal. On first and goal I ran play action and over threw a wide open FB in the end zone. On second down I ran with Ware to the goal line and on 3rd down dove over the top with Ware. It was a 13 play 81 yard drive. I actually really enjoyed it. I then allowed 1 first down and then forced a Bama punt that Mathieu returned for 5 yards (I had the block on), the first play I threw a pick trying to zip a ball to a back out of the backfield (did not seem like a cheap pick just a bad decision on my part. On the first play Lacy ran over the right side for about a 15 yard TD out of the wildcat. Here is the only thing that bothered me and it has nothing to do with gameplay... Bama threw an interception on their own 30 yard line with 4 seconds left in the half. The ball was thrown to the sidelines and I picked it and got out of bounds. I then kicked a 50 yard field goal to make it 10-7 at half. Bama took the opening drive and marched down the field for a field goal to tie it we then swapped punts I got the ball back and drove down the field and kicked a FG with seconds left.
I really had fun playing this game although I was on the phone for the second half. I seemed to have more control of the players less skating when trying to blitz with linebackers and safeties. The passing is much improved and the run blocking seems much better but I did get hung on a lineman for a split second. I can't wait to play some tonight and really try some different things.The Sports Technology Blog
