Re: NCAA Football 13 Demo Is Out, Post Your Impressions Here
I was reluctant to praise this game after I started a Oregon/USC game that started like this
Oregon fumbles on the kick off return, USC recovers
Barkley completes a HB screen to his HB, HB gets stripped, OL recovers the ball for USC
Barkley gets sack/stripped for a loss of 8 yards, OL recovers the ball for USC
Barkley gets sacked and fumbles for another loss of 8 yards and the OL recovers again.
I get a first down and then punt the ball after I stall out.
Barkley throws a pick.
BUT I will say, after I turned down some of the game plans to conservative I saw better game play. That start was nuts, but I guess it's default settings for you. Option plays for Oregon felt really nice, kind of odd moving the pitch button and the LB passing button to RB but I got used to it after 3 games.
I went and played Kansas State/Baylor which ended up a blow out. Passing felt real nice, there was a couple attempts where I tried to squeeze a slant over a defenders shoulder and it'd hit them in the back. Really nice to see. You still have to be very selective about your WR screens, any sort of man coverage will completely ignore most blocks.
LSU/Bama was real fun though, 10-7 in OT. Real nice grind it out game with a bit of everything. I'll probably end up buying NCAA 13, once you can get in a fiddle with the sliders I'm confident it'll be a lot of fun.
