No, I guess I'll just go with the PERFECT video game. Could you tell me which one that is?

There's alot of games without the glaring issues this one has every year.

Hey I want a great game like anyone else. It's been done before so my issue is why cant they do it again. Stuff shouldnt drop in and drop out from year to year.

There's no excuse for the no huddle breaking after a patch, or sliders not working, color uniforms getting dirty but not white ones. It's just dumb. I dont even see how you ppl can indirectly defend this.

just beat up on Oregon 24-7

Good:
The crowd noise seemed louder and better (not quit college atmosphere but appeared better than before)
Oregon's QB scrambled and took off to run a lot! Good to see
Gameplay felt much smoother
Colors seam better to me (USC's unis, can't confirm if they did anything, it could just be me)
New Animations (Oregon scored on a shovel pass which looked great, new WR animations when being lead by the QB looked decent)
No super LB!

Bad:
despite feeling smoother, still felt like NCAA 12 to me
too many studio updates (of course this could just be overdone to show it off)
Commentary (its only a demo and i seriously doubt every line has been included but it was still lacking)
Lack of upgrades to the Coliseum.
Leading WRs (only played one game but it seemed whether I lead them or threw behind them, it always triggered the same animation for what i was trying to do, IE - only saw 1 lead wr animation and 1 throw behind animation)
Deep Ball animations (as soon as you press the passing icon, everyone turns their head immediately and begins looking at it with only 1 animation)

I know it's just a demo, but during the RG3 challenge I get 1st and goal from the 1 and the coach calls four verts. Then, K-State scores with 30 seconds left to get within a touchdown and decides to kick rather than onside.

The reason why this raises a red flag to me is that the computer play calling in EA's football games has been pretty awful in the recent past, and it appears to remain as such.

Those are definite red flags and need to be addressed.

So far, I've experienced the opposite. I haven't played the RG3 challenge, but in my now 11 demo games, I've only seen the CPU call a handful of 4 verts. It would be a really bummer if that was just a fluke.

I like the improved passing, however psychic db's seem to have been replaced by unnaturally quick reaction times.

Am I wrong for thinking after 7 years of this generation the PS3 version should look better than this?Jaggies,the on-field view just sloppy and unclear, ridiculous almost translucent helmet reflections, etc.

Still seeing legacy issues, such as pass rushers with a clear path to the qb instead turning to engage a blocker.

Not a 60 dollar upgrade but I have it pre-ordered at 45, so I have a decision to make if it's good enough to warrant that amount.The real issue for me is I have a feeling based on the demo that I won't touch it again come August 28th

Played a quick game LSU vs Bama. Was LSU. The passing feels SO MUCH BETTER! This for me sold me on the game as I am a pass heavy player. So much better trajectories and there was one pass where I did a curl, but didnt throw it right away, there was a CB barely in front of him and I was able to float it right over his head just enough for him to jump and miss and it not be a moon ball.

The game is so smooth, might not have physics, but the animations are so smooth and transition correctly. The defense was A LOT better. Read and react worked perfect and I did not see any physic DBs (Need more games to be for sure). The defenders actually stayed with the WRs instead of letting them run in between to time the pass as in previous years, which caused me to throw some bad passes right to the defender.

The only real complaint I had was the CPU QB still threw some dumb passes but assuming this is on veteran, it can be changed with sliders and difficulty.

To me, $45 is worth every penny. I love college football and from the demo, EA sold me on it, and I look forward to the game. Maybe I am too easily impressed, but I can never turn down college football.

Unless your desperate for dollars, spend your money on the game if you like college football.

Hope I do not change my mind after a few more games! haha.

Pay close attention!!

After playing my first game on the Demo, actually playing my 1st half, I took some notes, and at halftime here's the real about this game. Baylor vs Kansas State.

1) Through 1 half, the CPU returned ZERO kickoffs. Of the three kickoffs, one was returnable, and the cpu simply downed it. Not feeling that at all.

2) As was a setback in NCAA 12, playing as a D-lineman is still a horror. Very hard to disengage the CPU O-linemen even with your best guy on the line.

3) Rece Davis right off the bat can be annoying with his repetitive lines to initiate the studio updates. You can tell this was a rushed feature and not much work put into his voice over. The in-game updates however are an awesome feel. I do not like that there aren't actual highlights with Rece Davis, and EA is 7 years behind on that feature. Ridiculous to not have this by now.

4) Deep route over the middle, the DB doesn't play the ball, he simply mirrors the WR catch animation allowing an in traffic TD. Such was the case in NCAA 12 with mirror animations. Not a good look.

5) Tackle animations still look ridiculous at times with defenders falling like ragdolls off the ball carrier, or just falling down after making contact. Just looks bad overall once you take a hard look at it, or see it over and over again.

6) Still a few pre-determined animations. Ball was lead in front of RB yet a DB was directly where the ball was being placed. Instead of making an easy interception in the flats, he lets the ball hit him in the chest, and goes into his tackle animation as the RB goes into a catch animation. Looks very bad and you'll see this over and over.

Also had a LB over the middle go into a tackle animation while the ball was being thrown at his spot. Rather than play the ball he decides to tackle a defenseless TE.

7) UPDATE ON D-LINE USERS: Definitely the same as NCAA 12. CPU down 10-0 less than a minute to go in the half, and God Mode kicks in. Pancakes my user controlled D-lineman over and over, or I just can't disengage no matter what, UNLESS I allow the CPU to control him for me by holding X. This is lame, and very ridiculous! And obviously won't ever get fixed.

8) Reaction time on scrambling QB's is still very bad. During the God Mode drive, my defenders aren't reacting to the QB until he's 8 yards past the line of scrimmage. As in NCAA 12, once this is shown on video, it makes the gameplay look very suspect and hard to deal with. No football player stands around watching a QB run right at them.

9) CPU God Mode still kicks in as in ALL EA games yet again. Down 10-0, Kansas State, having done nothing all half, drives with ease, while my defenders all of a sudden feel like they're running in quicksand. Score is now 10-7. When the game gets like this it feels beyond your control. And makes the replay value take a drastic decline.

10) SUPER LB SPOTTED! During the God Mode session, as I'm driving with 36 sec left, wide open TE over the middle, streaking gets the ball swatted as a LB beaten on the play, leaps about 6 yards to swat the ball. It looked so ridiculous it was comical. But expected to say the least. While they did tone this down tremendously, you WILL see this. Especially during CPU God Mode.

Overall, after 1 half, I can honestly say I don't have to play this Demo again, and can wait for the release, because really not much has changed. A few stitches here and there, add some new yet unpolished features (Rece Davis) and we basically have the same base game from previous release.

I will get NCAA 13, because I'm amped for some College Football, run some Dynasties, and once they get boring, or lose steam, this game won't last. I can see it already. Hopefully it has enough for me to keep longer than NCAA 12, which lasted 3 months in my PS3. And I hope people are foolish enough to think in 30 days these things that are still evident here, will be removed come July 10th. We should all know better by now.

I am in class so I can't edit. But I had a TD pass that I swear had to be a blown coverage. It was 3rd and 18. I call a play with 3WR 1 TE 1 RB. At the snap it looks like cover 3, with one CB and both safties taking deep 3rds of the field. The FS for whatever reason breaks off his deep middle 3rd assignment and chases a receiver to the left on a deep corner route, well the opens up the deep post route which goes for a TD due the the coverage gaffe. Later or tomorrow I will edit the video and show it.

If that was something that was affected by DB awareness I would be very impressed.

I have had that happen a few times. Like when I am in trips, the inside man is running a deep out and the middle man is running a seam. The FS is over the top in a cover 2 with man underneath. The safety jumps the out instead of sticking to the deep man and I torch em.

I payed close attention, and you are certainly entitled to you own opinion, but don't you think "the real" on this game should be decided from more than one half of play?

I mean I honestly don't care if you hate the game or love the game, I just think you may have missed out on some of the great strides this game has made this year. In many of our opinions of course.
