    Footwork?

I was thinking for additional ratings they could give players in 2k13 and stumbled upon something that does seperate great players from great scorers...

    ...Footwork.

There are players in the league that rely on their defensive position, fakes and jab steps, being able to pivot on either foot, and positioning on the floor to score points (Kobe, Pierce, Duncan, Love etc.) and I'd like to see that more prominent in the game. I hate playing the CPU, say... Kobe... and the way he scores on me is a cheesy spin move pull up. I want to see certain players' jab steps more effective, their swings more deceptive, causing reach ins (also, the swing, reach in, go up for the shot foul needs to be implemented... see Kobe highlights. haha)

Does anyone else feel like this should be a bigger focus than it is?

There should be an emphasis on this. I understand that they wanted to give the CPU more moves to use, but they overdid it. Not everyone can or tries to pull off up and under moves, reverse pivots and spin layups. I mean even guys like Kenneth Faried and Brendan Haywood have Hakeem footwork and moves in this game. Since they added abilities in, they should add in abilities for those moves. They also need to correct the tendencies so that players don't abuse these moves. The CPU up and under fingeroll from 10+ feet out is unstoppable. They almost always make it. And if they don't, it's always a foul.
