the news just keeps getting better and better! my god do they have any idea what they are doing! madden is losing $$$ by the day. talk about the most LINEAR game mode ever. "Madden 13: now with a new engine! and CC game mode! oh and play now! for 60$ you get one game mode!"

I was gonna give Madden a shot this year after taking last year off due to the new engine in gameplay and such, and CC sounded cool...but this is a feature I like to have. I like to play other games on occasion, or at least watch them.

NCAA is cheaper at 45 bucks and I figure next year it will have psychic engine as well and Madden will be tuned so next year might work out better for me there.

Is everyone serious........No duh u wont be able to coach one team like the Cowboys and play Browns vs Patriots.... Why would this even be a problem????? If i coached the cowboys and the eagles play the 49ers or someone. I could just tank the eagles game so I can move up in the standings. I hope this post was all a joke...

Because we don't consider ourselves to be so-called "coaching."

There are some people that don't want to coach just the cowboys. There are some that want to play an offline franchise with there kids or there friends. Why does the game have to be so limiting? If you want to coach just the cowboys, then go ahead and coach just the cowboys. Why do you want to limit how others play?

That's so arcade and unrealistic though letting people be the coach of every team. I am fine with them providing gamers all the arcadey options they want but it's just not realistic. /sarcasm

You could always play franchise together with other people. Why do you think 32 team control was in the game? So 32 individuals could sit down at one console and play against each other, as highly unlikely as that was or any combination of players and teams between 1 team: 32 players and 32 teams : 1 player.

That's what I thought.

Again, I've never controlled more than 1 team, but the poster who said he played a franchise with his kids really reinforced it: this is a bitter pill to swallow.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

You can LOL all you want, but I'm OK with something being arcady if it's an OPTION to turn off. I just don't want arcady to REPLACE realism. People should be able to make their franchise as arcady as they want or as real as they want. No sarcasm at all here.

I'm confused. Are you saying that a console can only have 1 Live Gold membership to it? That's not accurate. Otherwise, my kids could access Netflix without having to sign is as me.

But... what if? Everytime we switch to a different coach all the previously acumulated XP with the old coach are lost? Thus, deeply hindring the ability to scout or buy coach upgrades. I think this is a real possibility

Its possible. My workaround only works if you dont care about XP.

ive been saying it over the last few days, anybody who is reading the tea-leaves can see that its clear that EA vision as a company going forward is all about the online gamer 1st and foremost. this philosphy started with ssx ( a snowboarding racing game with no local multi-player) and that pilosophy as move on to madden.

dont believe me i can prove it.

take a good list of all the features that were removed. now ask yourself, how any those features have a real impact on the way random, tourny, or online franchises are played.

- you might say CP, but the online crowd mostly feel its a feature that promotes too much cheese.

- not many OF are gonna use fantasy draft.

- can only control 1 team online.

- online you cant edit ratings

- you cant import draft classes online

basically what you have here for the first time in the history of sports games is a reversal of ports, meaning in most sports titles the online modes are a direct port of what you can do offline. for the 1st time ever the offline is now a port of whats important to online.

so because EA has now fused online and offline franchise into 1 mode, whatever is not good for online or relevent to online will never again be given to offline.

get used to it because it is the future, online gamers 1st, everyone else if they have the time after that.

It's really, really difficult to contradict anything you said.
