No offense taken. It's an anonymous message board. Silly to go off the deep end at other members. I never really take it too seriously. Orgoos and I were going back and forth last year in that progression thread and I still love that guy. I really feel for him this year. He's really taking this news pretty hard.

you know reading the twitter feed from Dewiel on the original post, they honestly just have no idea. he keeps saying how "well if your the browns coach, you would never be able to coach another team in real life?" and saying " well ya your gona miss those things but this mode is better." according to who? you and your development team? i honestly think they have no idea what they are doing. they don't understand the view point from us, as a customer. they are hyping all of this "real life" stuff and umm its a video game! if we want martin luther king jr. to be our running back with Abe lincoln at qb, why cant we! its just insane. honestly looking at all this is summarized in one point. : a complete breakdown between EA and the customer." just look at the twitter timeline and its all right there

Its possible. My workaround only works if you dont care about XP.

Yepp, the "workaround" basically COULD mean losing the ability to scout + upgrading your coach attributes

You know it comes down to this really...It's your game you should be able to play it how you want to...It's a game right and my lord this site is going to blow up if the AI is not 100% right and I'm almost 101% sure that will be the case...I couldn't wait to see what June 4th was going to bring but really I can't wait till everyone talks about the AI....It will be a fun show to watch that's for sure.

Is everyone serious........No duh u wont be able to coach one team like the Cowboys and play Browns vs Patriots.... Why would this even be a problem????? If i coached the cowboys and the eagles play the 49ers or someone. I could just tank the eagles game so I can move up in the standings. I hope this post was all a joke...

I can't believe some of the people in here that are posting things like this. Do you understand we've had this feature since Madden 94 and Tecmobowl on the SNES?

This makes no damn sense if you think about it. Give the user the option to play traditional franchise or CCM. Plain and simple.

Well, if they are indeed trying to shift the focus from offline to online, as Taj suggested, then it makes sense. They can shift the players online and charge them for more things.

Terrible news this.....as a champion of the cpu v cpu cause and also the "play any game from any side's schedule" question I ask every year for every game this is disastrous.

This will totally remove the immersion within a franchise...as others have said, you can't watch any other game from that week and also if you don't make it all the way to the superbowl well the post season is going to blow when you're just shown who has won - we want what we've had for all time, the ability to watch/play any game from any side's schedule including the playoffs.....

Disaster....no purchase for me based on this......I suspect it will also be the same for NHL 13, a franchise that removed the ability to watch any game some time ago - I thought it might return this year but that looks doubtful based on this news.

At least this option is still available in NCAA 13....but, total despair for Madden, it really is.

Ridiculous.

I went 5 years not playing Madden and other games because of single team control. They just undid anything (Which wasnt all that much) that had any glimmer of promise.
Next, they're not going to allow us to play CPU vs CPU. As I said.... Done! Kaput! Outta here! Stick your game where the sun don't shine!

I can't believe people aren't getting it why it is not included so far... It's an annual game which really limits the time the developers have to work on it. Add on to that the fact that they have a revamped engine for gameplay to allow for RTP. Now add on to that, the implementation of a brand new mode (CCM) that has to be completely recoded... Um, duh! Things aren't going to make the cut. That's just the nature of it. Whether you like it or not, thats the way it is. Don't like it, don't buy it... Some of you are making this out to be the end of the world or something and to you I say get some perspective! Geez... Be thankful for what you do get and that you do have the freedom to purchase or not purchase this game.

No full customization of rosters.
No Editing of players in CCM
No Import Draft Classes
No 32 team control
No Fantasy Draft
No offline co-op play
No custom playbooks
No playing games except those of the ONE team you select for CCM

Madden sure does know how to kill excitement. I haven't bought Madden since Madden 10, haven't played Madden for more than 2 weeks since Madden 07 or 08 i think. I was really excited for this year after seeing what they were doing until this past week where they basically let me know this game is not for me.

I only play offline. I only play dynasty/association/franchise modes. I love to edit equipment. I love to control multiple teams and play games of teams i don't even control.

Basically everything i enjoy doing has been removed from the game.
