Can someone explain to me why Alabama is 4-3 and Oregon is 3-4 in the demo? Hoping that's a demo-only error.

Also, after 6 games I havent had a cpu 4th down at my own 35+, can someone tell me if the AI still attempts ridiculously long field goals they come up 10 yards short on? Thanks

Oh and is speed threshold at 100 or what? Danthony Thomas seems about as fast as Zach Mettenberger lol

no but if they are on the 40 yard line with 3 seconds left and down by only 3 they will run a draw play up the middle to lose the game. I have done this 3 times now. Completely unacceptable how bad the AI seems to be.

Anyone every see them announce upsets? I have seen Ohio State get crushed by Illinois like 42-21 but they always talk about the same games...

I think I also saw Arkansas lose to but never hear about it but just see it at the bottom of the screen.

I already paid $60 for NCAA 12, why would I pay another $60 for the exact same game with a new patch? This is the absolute laziest I've ever seen developers get with a franchise. I have been really turned off from buying anything EA. Probably won't buy another CFB game until they no longer have the sole rights to NCAA.

The demo isnt enough information to base this on. If a lot of the bugs in 12 are fixed, especially with regards to online dynasty, I'll be happy. Would have liked to have seen the adjustments not be as cheesy though

I'm really like the demo but got bored of 12 faster than any other Ncaa...

Can't wait to try harder modes and hope the new passing don't turn this into a score fest every game especially online. But I think the passing adds a whole lot to the game IMO, Although in the demo it seems like any of the QB's can make any throws :-/

I found this to be rather terrible. Almost SSX bad.
The good thing I can is the animations are nice and I kinda liked that bullet time thing playing as RG III.

The pass protection is still an absolute joke.

Run game is still -3 to 1 or 8+.

Return blocking is slightly improved but I still had a defender run right by with no effort.

Couldn't get a user sack. AI got rid of the ball every time (twice leading to INTs),if the player engaged with the AI teammate pulled off of him to stop me then they never got rid of it and got sacked by the teammate.

AI picks off passes at impossible angles,my guys drop easy picks.

In game graphics seem worse but cut scene/replay graphics appeared to be better.

Is there no forward progress in college? Because twice I had a catch made beyond the first down line,get tackled and thus pushed back behind it and the ball was spotted behind the line.

After playing the demo for a couple of days and then going back to my OD for NCAA 12, I really do like the way the demo plays. I can only hope it will play even better on slow speed, re-rated rosters, and some slider tweaks.

I turned auto sprint off in the demo. However, I cant feel any difference when I hit the sprint button or not. Is this toggle just not working in the demo?

Yeah i think it's broken hasn't been working for me some reason. Either it works or i just cant tell the difference xD.

I've seen this mentioned a few times, so I thought I'd just point this out.


The NCAA had a rule change, so touchbacks are supposed to go to the 25, not the 20.

One thing with the playbooks, make sure you restart the game after each demo game you play. I've noticed that playbooks get stuck and from time to time and carry over when you play the next game. The first few times I played, I played as KSU first and then Oregon and had KSU's playbooks still.

Agree on CPU game management. I had the CPU fake a punt on 4th and 24 once. Also had the CPU call a running play on the final play of the game that they trailed by a score.

Anyone else feel like after a play there is just a big cluster f**k of players on the field? Seems like everyone is bumping into each other constantly on the screen after a play while you pick the next play.

I've played a bunch of games but decided to list my pros and cons of the last two I've played, also, I put down all of the "Four Verts" I ran and the outcome.

Alabama (CPU) at LSU (ME)

Pros
+ Quarterbacks on the other side really try and draw you offsides and if you do miss time your jump, they're snapping the ball.

+ During a draw play, I actually saw one of my defensive ends break down and wait for the quarterback to decide whether he was going to hand it off or pull up and throw it.

Cons
- Weird pick up of a punt by the kicking team to stop it from going into the endzone
(As I began to press L2 to turn my guy around, the ball hit the ground and then simutaenously appeared in my guys hand.)

- Similar to above, I was the return team and I moved slightly out of position of catching the punt and it magically appeared in my hand as if I had it the entire time.



Kansas State (CPU) at Baylor (ME)

Pros
+ The WR/DB Interaction looks very good

Cons
- I've had linebackers who run into the ball and let it bounce off of their head instead of trying to intercept it or swat it away.

- After a muffed punt, I took one of my guys, ran of the football and they made absolutely no attempt of bending over to pick the ball up. They ran over top of it like it was not even there.

- No "Intentional Grounding" call on the CPU

Four Verticals:
1st Attempt: 55-yard Touchdown
2nd Attempt: 68-yard Touchdown
3rd Attempt: 54-yard Touchdown
4th Attempt: Dropped 40-yard Pass
5th Attempt: 35-yard Completion
