No its those that aren't happy with the game but will buy it anyways. I passed up many NCAA and Madden games due to not being what I want. Wasnt impossible for me at all to pass on them. So unlike what you implied, I'm not an EA fanboy etc.. Check my post history. I just dont spend $ on products I know wont satisify me.

But go ahead and buy a game you know you wont like if that's what you want to do.

I went like 6 years until buying Madden last year. I agree that consumers should not reward company's if the consumer isn't satisfied. But that consumer has every right to be upset and complain when that is the only product of it's kind. It's the "stop complaining, just don't buy" that I LOL at. The "don't buy" I agree with.

I think people wouldn't be as upset if these features weren't available before. (yes, the majority of people believe these are features...not just "options" and EA will probably reintroduce them as features in the future) You take something away from people and they are going to be upset no matter what.

In Head Coach 09, you don't have any of these options and it's a VERY fun game to play. People were not upset that you couldn't play other games, or edit players, (I guess you could edit rosters before hand and bring them in I believe), but anyways...the option was never there before. So people weren't upset about it.

I think CCM will still be a very fun mode. If you have bought Madden in the past with its bare bones, uninspired, lacking in features, and riddled with bugs franchise mode. I don't see why you would stop playing Madden now.

There's other games to play as well. If M13 is really the several steps backwards that many people claim it to be, then it shouldn't be too hard to pop M12 in and have all the options you want right there.

And what does that have to do with many consumers being upset at the direction EA is taking Madden, and having no other options for that type of NFL game? What's your point? And what does it have to do with the discussion? People have every right to be disappointed and upset and every right to voice it, whether they pop M12 in or not. Really, where are you going with this?

I have no problem with EA getting an exclusive deal with the NFL. That's smart business for them. What i do have a problem with though is them getting that exclusive deal and putting out subpar games and removing control from the users and basically giving us a big middle finger because they know you either have to buy it or you aren't playing an NFL game. Well i've been able to avoid buying it but it's frustrating that i can't buy an NFL football game because the only game out there requires me to play it 1 way, with their rosters.

In a time where games are giving users more control than ever, they decide to remove all user control. It's not like they just took away the ability to play as more than 1 team. They took that away AND the ability to use edited rosters or edit equipment AND the ability to play other teams games.

I see some people who say things in reference to people editing rosters and giving everyone 99s or playing other team's games so they can control who wins. The amount of people who use that ability for those things is the minority compared to those who just want to make rosters the way they like or give someone certain equipment or play other team's games simply because they want to play with other teams for variety. Point is, it doesn't matter if the user wants to make everyone a 99 or control who wins and loses. That is how they want to play the game.

Forcing people to play 1 way is ridiculous.

Totally agree! Never said anything about not complaining (I do my fair share!)
I'm simply saying don't give out the $ on a product you wont be happy with. Doesn't make sense to me to do that.

Its not as easy for some as it is for you...ppl need their NFL fix, EA knows this, they prey on that...like lil evil demons imo...thats why when i feel when ppl say "dnt like it, dnt buy it" while u may be right in a technical since...but on a human/moral level its wrong and its kinda like spitting in those ppls faces...

but i understand how thats how to world works...which is prolly why its the disaster it is now..smh

My Heart Just Sunk hearing this horrible news about equipment not being edited and now we cannot control more then one team or even play other games on schedule.

I will walk into Game Stop in the morning and cancel my pre order.

As much as I love Madden all my life this cannot be acceptable for those that love SIM football

Good business decision or not, it has held back NFL Licensed football gaming for about 7 years. EA and the NFL are absolutely to blame for that.

Trust me.. Passing on a release day FB game isnt easy. I do play the game as I'll grab used. If it is what I thought it was I simpy return it. No lost $.

None of what you said changes the fact that it is a good business move by EA. We may not like it because EA seemed to just relax and not push as hard to make great games and settled for average games knowing they were still going to make tons of money simply because they have the Madden name and the Shield behind it.

this does not bug me at all, i have no problem with this, why would anyone want to control another team but there own is crazy. Also why would anyone want to control ratings in online franchise unless they want to cheat there way to 99 ovr guys... this game looks good, and I will be buying this game, instead of complaining you have a choice to buying the game or not buying the game, its your choice and no ones else....

The only problem I have with this game is you cant edit your gear on ur guys, and spec mode, so now ill wait for the demo to actually come out to really test this game...

Agree to disagree about EA's fault. If I was a share holder and they didnt do it , I'd be ticked. It was more the NFL's greed.
Agree about exclusive didnt help make the genre better BUT with EA's record would competition really have helped?
NBA Live had competition..
Would love though to have seen what 2k Football may have been in 2013
