None of what you said changes the fact that it is a good business move by EA. We may not like it because EA seemed to just relax and not push as hard to make great games and settled for average games knowing they were still going to make tons of money simply because they have the Madden name and the Shield behind it.

I never said otherwise. I just said that the NFL and EA are to blame for it. Looking at your post, seems you agree with me.

I like the direction that Madden is going. Many said in the past that the franchise mode should be more like Head Coach and now they are going in that direction and people are now upset with it. This is year one of a revamped franchise mode and to me I am very impressed with the in depth changes that have already been made.

After some discussion, we agreed that Franchise mode is yours to control and that we needed to give you the ability to edit the ratings of any player in Franchise mode, whether they are veterans or the rookies you just imported from NCAA Football.

RIP Madden EA you have killed it forever now.

You have now become the only sports game in history to take out just about the entire game out and rip it apart.

I have said it before I will say it again this is madden 93 the only difference is the graphics, they might as well take players names out and keep just numbers like 93 now

They might as well just come out and tell the hardcore fans to go kick rocks! Lol
I always played all the playoff games as the lowest rated team, it made playoffs time seem "bigger". I am more concerned about the NFL as a whole and not just "my career". Now if CCM included "GM, OWNER, AND COMMISIONER modes then this would be awesome.

If they would have included 2 player Co-Op (on same team) it would have been enough for me. This is the only mode I ever played. Madden is the only game I play and now I can't since they won't let me play the way I have for as long as I can remember.

Extremely disappointed in EA and any idiot who believed developing a game from a communistic point of view was a good idea. THEY SHOULD NOT DICTATE HOW WE SHOULD PLAY NFL FOOTBALL!

All the had to do was add Infinity and polish offline franchise and I think most people would have been happy. They should have called this Head Coach 13 and also released a Madden 13!!!!!

So lets get this straight EA a team finishes 8-8 your team(the only damm team you can control and be bored to death by the time week 17 comes) you miss the playoffs..

in the space of 2 seconds and 1 click the season is over you don't even get to watch the playoffs watch the superbowl even watch a CPU v CPU game play the super bowl its all OVER DONE OVER WITH BOOM in 1 click you see random sim scored.

This game cannot get any worse then it has. what is next?? I bet you right now that they take out the option to mix and match jerseys and pants which they gave us the option the last 2 years/ come on people keep saying I am 'speculating' well still not wrong yet.

Not laughing at disappointed gamers but LMAO that if a just awoke from a 7 year coma, judging by these reactions I would believe next-gen was a stellar product up until now.

I just can't see, even considering the past options and features that weren't added, how anyone could feel M13 will not likely be the best one this gen. So I am a little surprised to see people that have bought every next-gen Madden or most of them, state they won't be getting this one.

I'll still be picking up Madden 13, but I'm disappointed that they left out so many features. My biggest complaint is that there is no couch co-op. I have been playing Franchise mode in Madden for 10+ years and my favorite part was always playing on the same teams with my family and friends. I can't that this feature, plus many other ones, that have been in Madden and other sports titles for several years are completely absent from Madden 13.

As for it being the best Madden of the generation we'll have to wait to find out. I hope everything they're putting in works perfectly, but this wouldn't be the first time a Madden game looked great in May/June only to disappoint in August.

Madden 13 seems to be like an inside joke, because I consider myself smart, and I don't get the punchline. I mean how can you not make sure Madden 13 had at least what Madden 12 had? This early backlash is once again at the feet of EA. Lack of communicating to your consumer base. How well did head coach sell, and if it were so great why did it take so long to make a sequel?

This news just wrote in stone Madden 13 being a rental for me.

Being a fan of the entire league, I'm going to miss out on the option of playing whatever game I choose each week. Everyone has their favorite feature, I guess that one is mine. Never thought I'd see the game regress to this point.

I know the entire videogame industry is guilty of releasing incremental builds as new games, but the Madden series really feels like it's become a mere preview for the following year's game.

Can't say I'm disappointed, as my hopes and joys don't hinge on these types of things, but it really says a lot about the state of the industry right now and why I play games less these days. When you have a flagship title sputtering along so pathetically, it makes it very easy to turn attentions elsewhere.

Nope, that's why I stated "likely", considering most Madden's this gen have been better than their predecessor, imo. Also, just to avoid a repeat type of reply, I stated "most" and "imo" in this post. lol

No full customization of rosters.
No Editing of players in CCM
No Import Draft Classes
No 32 team control
No Fantasy Draft
No offline co-op play
No custom playbooks
No playing games except those of the ONE team you select for CCM

....I wish I had the gif of Bart Scott saying, "CAN'T WAIT."

Hmm lets see thast 9 features.. that means they can add a 'new feature' in for the next 9 years easy done graet busniess plan EA!
