Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head
CRM, if the design is so static that it can't handle those changes, then it wasn't designed very well. And that's common sense coming from a software designer. All this static stuff should have been parametrized and the design should have been able to flow with any editing changes. Whoever designed the product (story line) whether it was TIB or some third party that TIB purchased the code from, the design was very short sighted.Comment

Zero interest in anything online honestly. Have limited time to play. I'm Solo in most sports games.
Have no interest in closet clutches and cheezers nor do u want to invest any time in an online CC only to have it fizzle out.

You know whats funny?
I remember in Madden 2005 you could edit your entire teams equipment and play with that said edited equipment online. Sure, your online opponent couldn't see your customized equipment but it was cool none the less.Last edited by djordan; 06-13-2012, 09:38 AM.AKA DEEJAY8595Comment

You are just assuming. Or let me guess... you are much better at making games then they are right?!?CRM, if the design is so static that it can't handle those changes, then it wasn't designed very well. Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head
If this is out, then I am officially not buying Madden. It's a shame too, because it looked so promising. Looks like I'll just stick with NCAA this year. This has to be one of the most ******** things I have ever seen a developer do.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head
I'm not concerned about this year, but I typically only buy Madden every other year (I alternate between NHL and Madden)...and now we won't be able to manually edit rosters to correctly portray the 2013 season.
Which means we are now forced to buy Madden every year for updated rosters.
Bummer.

Same thing I said... until I tried it. Some of you folks need to come out from behind the walls you have built up. it doesn't take much effort to find a well run league that supports your individual style of play... Hell I work about 70-75 hours a week, have a 7 month old and 3 year old but still have time to get in 2-3 league games per week.Zero interest in anything online honestly. Have limited time to play. I don't understand how online leagues work, exactly.Same thing I said... until I tried it. Say it's week 1 and you and I are to play. Of course we'll have to be online at the same time. Are there set times to play? How does this work?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head
I actually stated 2-3 years ago that Madden would eventually get rid of editing all together, exactly for the reason you outlined: to force people to buy the game each year if they wanted updated rosters. But in this case it does sound like they plan to put it back in the game next year, but who really knows?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head
I can't speak for all leagues but every successful one I have been in or seen has a forum set up either on a public site or a private one. OS supports leagues, DLG supports leagues, TSO supports leagues. i would say stick with one of those where the support is good. OS has an Online Franchise forum in this Madden section. Say we play week one and it is Monday, the league may advance on say Thursday. You and I have until then to get a time where we can both be available to play. Usually those leagues have a forum on the site for scheduling games. So i would post something like this:
"Browns here, when can you get this in? I'm available from 8pm est til midnight everyday. text, email, or private message me and lets do this."
Off topic I know, sorry.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Clarification
:insert a bunch of foul language that would earn me a red card:
Please don't give me a red card.
... and to think I was excited for Madden 13 for a few days. THIS killed it for me. I play offline and ALWAYS have my own custom changes to the rosters.Comment
