What if all the messages are not angry? What if some of them are your consumers looking to get clarification on what the new mode is/what they can and can't do? Some guys got blocked for asking questions about CC.

Honestly, I understand his reasoning. They made a development decision, period. Wait until the game comes out, try it, and then send your feedback to him.

There has been a lot of people talking about how these missing features completely renders the new stuff null and void, which is equivalent to me.

For how they want to play the game it does render it null and void. To others, it doesn't. Not hard to understand.

As far as the "unrealistic" progression system, it's impossible to create a real one.

Miles Austin for instance is lucky to even make the roster, and then an injury happens and suddenly he's balling out of control. You can't accurately replicate that

You have a link to confirm this? Nothing I've seen thus far leads me to believe that CCM is "scripted" or "fixed".

The story line must be somewhat static if it can't handle player editing. To me, that says somewhat scripted.

The only way that we get a game that makes most people happy is if there is more than one maker of the game.And for that to happen maybe instead of complainng to EA we should find out who and how and complain to the NFL forgranting them the only rights to do so.

I just want to know if they have fixed the way incoming players look, equipment and number wise. I haven't played madden 12 since I left the OS Vets, but offline I'm sure I saw guys coming in with giant shoulder pads, skill position guys having those giant elbow pads, every tape option and taped up ankles with that awful bulky tape, I don't want my QB wearing a Dan Marino facemask either. Is that a little OCD? Yes, probably but it's one of the things that I like to do and enjoy doing. Let me fix that and give my players numbers that make sense. and I would be happy. Went a long time without being able to edit rating within a franchise I can live with that.

And I want to raise this point once again. What if I have two sons at home and we want to play a franchise together in the evening? We have to what have 2 game systems and 2 copies of the game and play online? Is that the only "solution" What exactly does EA say to me? How do I get that little pleasure out of Madden?

what I highlighted is a very good point. we all know the Madden has catered to the casual gamer over the hardcore gamer, but this move will affect the casual gamer much harder than the hardcore gamer.

This may hurt EA badly once the word is out totally on what was removed from the franchise mode. Remember not everyone visit a forum.

I'm still SMH on this. I hear what some of you are saying in regards to this being the begining to CC, but with what was removed from franchise is way to big of a deal It really is.

In the end I should be fine because of the league Phobia and myself have created, but its not fair at all for all of those that dont play online, or have certain traditions in which they play the game and can no longer do. This removed a lot of flexibilty to the gamers.

i agree to an extend, but I truly still believe it is the year. I say this because they finally had the guts to create something big that will lay the foundation for years to come. This isnt just a usual Madden update that we are used to seeing with "team entrances" or "Extra Point Show". Physics and Connected Careers is a huge overhaul from last years game. Sure their are some things missing that should not have been taken out. I'm personally upset about the editing of equipment, but these features are easy things for EA to put back in the game at some point whether its a patch or Madden 14. These features that everyone is about to jump off a roof over have nothing to do with the build or the core gameplay of the game.

I would rather be complaining over simple things that are easy to put back in a game than things like "physics" and realistic animations and AI interaction which are much more difficult for EA to update on a yearly basis. I'd rather be sitting on this new Madden 13 foundation that actually gives us hope for the future, than sitting on the old madden foundation with very little hope for the future.

RTP, i officially hate the phrase. We shall see how much "Physics" are in this engine when we see actually gameplay of it.

On the topic of story lines i dont get it. I dont care if they are fixed or not. I dont play football games for a story i play them to play a football game. I play them to draft players, sign free agents, and try to resign my guys. I play them to edit my team the way i want them edited. I play them to play interesting games in my franchise. I play them on the couch with my brothers to see who is better at building up and maintaining a franchise. I do not play them because i want to play a good story mode, if im in the mode for that ill play uncharted.

Madden 06 i believe on ps2 had story elements in franchise like the radio show, newspaper feeds, player personalities and my favorite pre season position battles. All the while allowing players to play the game the way they wanted to. Editing was in local co-op was in and there were story elements

Basically i want a franchise mode that plays like a franchise mode. I dont want my franchise mode to be story mode...thats is not what a football game should be about.

Oh noes I can't control all the teams and make sure the one team I want to win every year in franchise mode does? WORLD ENDING!

I can't fathom why people ask or even want that either in madden or NHL. Makes no sense to me.

Also, for years my friend I and I used to play franchise where we were always each others opponents. Also, there are marquee match ups from week to week that are fun to play and give you abreak from just controlling your team. I love playing Bears/Packers or Jets/Patriots or Pats/Colts or Steelers/Ravens and so on and so forth. Some weeks I played a ton of games before advancing. Others, not so much.

It's not just one thing, it's most of the list of missing features. I don't care about importing draft classes. I used to do that but it ways always terrible anyway.

Not being able to use edited rosters is my biggest problem and the nail in the coffin. I literally lost all interest in Madden 13 now. I'll keep following to see any updates or news or what ever... but that feeling of anticipation vanished.
