I guarantee you that there you will be able to purchase XP from the EA market or whatever they call it. And people will buy it. It won't be required, but it will most certainly be available.

Lord they better not....I witnessed first hand how the XP Pack Buying destroyed what was left of Fight Night Champion.....People called them "Steroid Packs" because they let people enhance their fighters and dominate Online...while the other guys who didn't want to purchase these Steroid Packs had to go through a much harder process to get their fighters to be competitive...

^^And to make matters worse their Multiplayer MatchMaking Logic was so terrible that you'd constantly have fighters who were just starting out going up against these steroid freaks

Really a reach to complain about either way since you obviously wouldn't buy it and you could probably prevent people from using it in your own leagues just as you were able to limit helper DLC in NCAA.

The fact is the Madden team WOULD have kept most of these things in if there was competition out there. The only way they try something so drastic is because they know they are the only game in town.

It's almost like they have no idea what people want with their game.

I am a fully 32 Team offline Franchise player and this is the worst news that I could have possibly gotten. I play my more favorite team in each game. I have know idea how I will play this game this season.

Not that I wanted most of the things removed. I personally like realism and focusing on one team without having to tamper with other teams for a realistic feel. If Madden 13 can offer me that I'm not overly disappointed with the things we are losing. Still can't understand why they thought it was a good idea to make such drastic changes so sudden.

Reading your post, I'd just add there's a difference between being upset and then letting it go, and blowing a gasket over a video game of all things. Really, is there a reasonable explanation getting that worked up over what amounts to a toy?

Well, if it is important to you, then yes. There are many things that are meaningless in the whole scheme of things that people get excited about. Sports is number one. I dont see anyone blowing a gasket. Just expressing their opinion over this highly dubious path EA is taking with the only NFL game to be had.

Just out of curiosity..do you like ncaa? I like how it feels this year amd even though they didnt get the new engine the game plays pretty well

Because that is EA they try to make a big media splash in May/June and hype game. They don't care if they take out feature that's fans like.

And in my opinion that is what makes games like MLB The Show such a treasure. You ask you receive and get to keep all the other features you have grown to love. Those developers love to communicate and make gamers happy and exited to play their games for more than a month or season.

It seems the past few years with Madden they just build a game to get them to the next year.

I also see Russell on here asking how to make game better and what fans want improved upon.

I never thought I would be one of those posters that actually would say this but this news is just too restricting for me to make Madden 13 a worthwhile purchase and I think that EA made a HUGE DESIGN MISTAKE in not allowing for Create Players, Teams, Roster Edits and PLAY ANY MATCH features from their FRANCHISE MODE. I think its a HUGE mistake and I am now going on record that MADDEN 13 is a NO BUY for me this year.

I know many of you wont care and that is fine, but at the same time I think EA needs to hear it at least from one single loyal customer. Its a shame too because the week earlier had me on a real high with the news of this new physics based engine to finally perhaps make gameplay feel more dynamic and less repetitious game in and game out.

But the fact that I can no longer enjoy playing a Franchise Mode in the Commissioner/Gode Mode that I like to play by creating a team and a few players and inserting them into the league to set up some really exciting What If scenarios along with the inability to play out each different Monday Night Matchup and all the Post Season games simply removes all the appeal of game for me.

Am I angry?...At first, extremely, but now that anger has simply changed to extreme disappointment. I think this will actually be the first year in over 12 seasons that I skip this game and that is going to be tough.

I really cant understand how EA simply couldnt have left Franchise Mode completely alone for those of us players that dont care at all about connecting our careers and multiplayer and created this Connected Career Mode as a completely seperate Menu Feature....(because God only knows how they actually love over saturating their Main Menus with tons of different modes anyways)

This would have actually been the one time when it would have made sense to break them out into 2 different Modes and they would have been able to appeal to BOTH audiences rather than completely alienating one group.

I have MLB2K just because they offer if for the PC. From everything I hear about "The Show" I wish it were also available for the PC.
