If what they have works, I will still be very happy. Lack if editing rosters our playing as other teams other than your, really won't stop me from buying.

Re: Sound Off: Has the 'Closed' Nature of Connected Careers Turned You Away?
For most players it still appears to be the best Madden yet (just as it does every year for the most part)
Between the Infinity Engine and the significant upgrades and flexibility added to online franchise there is a lot to like (as someone who's never played online franchise in madden because of no contracts, being able to see draft ratings, etc).
It's not perfect obviously for everyone, but after falling in love with NCAA's OD last year and stating in a couple of threads that I don't see what Madden can do to match a 4 year turnover of rosters and the mechanism to go from school to school via the Coaching Carousel... CCM has me very excited for this and future versions of Madden. This generation and next.Comment

I makes me worry about the future of the mode. Of all the disappointed news none of it has clipped my wings yet...But I'm starting to worry something will soon enough.
As of this moment tho...No. Still like the mode.Comment

Yeah ,Im bummed that you cant edit or use custom playbooks.I wish they would get rid of MUT,superstar mode, madden momemts, team play all of that, and just give us an amazing franchise mode with real halftime post game and weekly wrap up shows, custom camera views..Finn Z.Born To Percieve psn DKGuitarStar www.youtube.com/dksimbreakdowns

honestly...I could care less about it because I've now started to focus on these games as a process. Each year we're going to have to be a bit more understanding if we want these games to evolve. Madden has made a HUGE leap for football games, now we have to allow them to build on that. NCAA looks pretty generic and stale, so since Madden has gone in the direction of innovation, we've gotta give them time to build on that.Comment

There is no franchise mode. There is one mode, connected careers. It's a combination of franchise and superstar mode.Comment

IT turned into a rental for me and maybe a late purchase used in feb or something. I just want to try the infinity engine out. The rest of the game is useless to me now.
I will playing NCAA all year long now. If only they had the infinity engine too I wouldn't even play madden this year. I think they did that on purpose.Comment

Re: Sound Off: Has the 'Closed' Nature of Connected Careers Turned You Away?
I've never played or watched other games in my franchise in the past, but I've always used the open nature of franchise mode to manage or remedy facets of the mode that weren't working correctly or realistically.
The closed nature of this new mode effectively means that you have to hope they've done everything in the league and with teams correctly.
I've cancelled my pre-order on Gamestop's website, and will simply wait to hear how things are before I decide to pick it up or not. As a franchise mode guy, I don't want to pay $60 only to find out out something is borked or unrealistic in the mode within a day or two of release. On the other hand, if others confirm all is well, I can then pick it up with more confidence.Last edited by Flamehead; 06-15-2012, 07:34 PM.Comment

Turned away? No. I still have a "buy" on the game, though it probably will not be a first day purchase.
Likely will wait to see what feedback comes in from players and what else is coming out at the time.
Still interested in seeing the new mode in action and getting my hands on it, just not a "go get it now" game at this point - and it could have been for me."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

But to answer the OP, no it has not turned me away at all. A couple have things are a bummer, but I'm still very excited for M13 and happy with my pre-orderComment
