Re: New CPU vs CPU Option Gameplay (Army vs Navy)
Sigh...........they need to fix the option ASAP.
Linebackers and secondary react to it instantly. As soon as the QB says hike you see all the linebackers and the safety run directly into the backfield on the side the play is designed to run to. No hesitation at all, they take off instantly.
So obviously read & react defense don't apply to the running game.
Also they need to fix the upside down logos in broadcast cam view at midfield. -

Will lowering Pursuit and ACC help reduce it?Comment

Re: New CPU vs CPU Option Gameplay (Army vs Navy)
My biggest question: How did the Navy receiver have nobody within ~15 yards of him on that long pass play when all but two Army defenders dropped back into coverage?Comment

That along with lowering play recognition. Looking at all these option videos, I just shake my head. It is like the CPU defense is in the offense's huddle and know the option play was called by how instant their movement be.Comment

Yikes. Didn't like the look of that at all. It seems like nothing has changed in this area since the franchise began. So disappointing, since it's such a large part of college football.Comment

Re: New CPU vs CPU Option Gameplay (Army vs Navy)
Pass coverage is broken. Has been in every gameplay video and in the demo. There are significant flaws in the deep shell (blue) zones in the game. I've pointed it out every opportunity I get but it never seems to get much attention.
If it is like that in the retail version, it sure as heck will then.Comment

Re: New CPU vs CPU Option Gameplay (Army vs Navy)
That was painful to watch. Not really any different from the last few years.
I see this year in and year out, and I've pretty much resigned myself to the idea that these two games were just never designed to be "played" CPU vs CPU. The option can work (somewhat) in Human vs. CPU with slider tweaks, but they've never been able to come close to getting the AI to execute it properly against itself. And the Madden team's decision to cut out non-user controlled games this year (and I would assume CPU-watching those games as well), shows how low of a priority it is.

Re: New CPU vs CPU Option Gameplay (Army vs Navy)
Never has worked like it should. If you use it enough it's still easy to run against the CPU on Heisman, just a few plays you can use. (Toss Sweep etc.) I hate it considering all I use is Tech, though.Comment
