He basketball I.Q. is to low. His court vision is okay but he tries to be a little to flashy with his passing at times.

I still think people should be lenient on him. He has NEVER played point guard at any level other than the NBA its going to take time. He is a true shooting guard who is working his butt of to make the transformation to a Point Guard. He is one of the most gifted athletes in the NBA he is an elite on-ball defender and his jumper has really developed. Not to mention he is probably one of the most Angry finishers at the rim in the game right now.

Don't worry, the Thunder didn't give him all that money for nothing. They believe in him, and so should we.

Not to be a negative ned, but I'm pretty sure this belongs in the Pro Basketball forum, not the 2k video game one.

          http://www.operationsports.com/forums/pro-basketball/

I will give my 2 cents regardless though.

I just think he needs to finish with more consistency. It's not like he's taking bad shots. I don't care if he takes 50 shots, as long as they're good looks. He missed a few layups that he normally makes, and his mid range jumper wasn't falling last night like it has been all playoffs.

He's absolutely fearless and it's honestly amazing to watch.

I don't think he's that selfish. He's aggressive and he's never played point guard before. Last night (Game 2), after the big steal he could have easily forced up a shot and, instead, made a nice pass to Kevin Durant who drilled the three to bring it within two. The Thunder need him to be aggressive in order to win. He's a great pull-up shooter, he just hasn't been hitting his shots in the finals so far.

You can't ask him to be a player that he's not. If you are looking for Steve Nash play out of him, you are barking up the wrong tree. He's still so very young (as is Kevin Durant) and, yet, here he is having led his team to the finals. He hustles like crazy. Last night he was all over the place attempting put-backs and giving his all. I like the kid and I expect to see him slowly improve until he's indisputably one of the best 3 PG's in the league.

I think he's a great point guard! People call him selfish and all that but he's just aggressive. If it wasn't for Durant on his team people would call him a Derrick Rose type point guard and praise him. He allows Durant to have so many spot up 3s its sickening.

People criticize every miss but in last night's game he actually made several plays to get them back in it. I don't understand why people are so harsh on him because without him Durant would need to work much harder to score because teams would throw doubles to him left and right. His aggressiveness makes Durant look better.

                Let him live!

He reminds me of a younger Dwayne Wade but playing Point Guard.

When he's aggressive and driving toward the rim there are not many better then him especially with how he played in Game 1 of the Finals. Finished at the rim quite often and off of attacking the rim got some easy looks for guys down low.

He just needs to make good decisions on a consistent basis more

And a young Dwayne Wade did play PG. I don't see them moving Westbrook though bc Harden isn't a true PG either. If he ever leaves I bet they move him to the 2.

Russell Westbrook is fine the way he plays though. Durant didn't fully lead the Thunder, they play as a team and they succeed that's what matters.

Which makes absolutely no sense. I saw the flashes of "bad Rus" yesterday... I also saw the other 90% of the game, lol. Dude was balling, just like in game 1. And if Durant hits that shot at the end, this discussion still isn't happening... yet. He's not perfect. Neither are any of the other guys running up and down the court. I'm not sure what people expect.

He can get into the gaps off the defense, i reckon he needs to create more shots rather than taking 26..

I think he's good. He's not top five (yet) but he's very good. I do think he takes some very poor shots, tries to be a little too flashy, and dribbles too much but he's really young and he'll only get better from here.
