I was waiting on someone to bring that thread up. It really was common sense IMO.. There's alot of people who don't have online and like to chill at home and play and offline franchise whether it's by themselves or with family and friends. You can see from all the complaints on here about all the things being removed. I haven't been this mad with Madden since 06 with all the stuff that was taken away. I been a loyal supporter for years.

I'm not saying one mode is better then the other because everybody has there own preference on how they play the game(and I'm happy with the improvements to online and gameplay) but when I see comments about the offline stuff being in the in the minority of what gamers want I just laugh about it.. Obviously that isn't the case and it's going to get worst when alot of people get the game who don't be on websites to get all the insight like we do and see everything that was taken away(or not added back) that's been on the game for years.

I play Franchise Mode to play as a single team, or Superstar Mode as a single player.

People are so complain-ie, my goodness. Their actually trying to give us something new and unique, and all the guys in these forums can do nothing but complain.

It makes sense in terms of realism.....The coach of the Patriots will only coach the Patriots!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get over it because now u only got one shot so if u can't make the superbowl then its realistic no matter how good ur team is on paper jus like in real life so play hard or go home, well go out since you'll be at home already lol trolls

You are delusional if you really believe most guys intention is to cheat the AI.. Alot of guys control teams to make sure the AI is on point with there decision making off the field so they can be challenged when the play the game instead of dealing with alot of teams full of garbage UDFAs which results into the USER smashing the CPU on a regular and so what if some guys like to exploit the AI like you mention. It's there game and they can do whatever they like with it. You can't put EVERYBODY in that category so you need to quit trolling with those types of comments..

My problem is...what we are asking in terms of realism is mainly gameplay and presentation...when you get into a franchise mode...some things should be left up to the users own creativity...the user should be able to have his own little "utopia" of the NFL as he sees it...thats the great thing about video games..it takes you out the reality of your life...and enables you to create something different outside of it for those 1-3 hrs you are playing it...

If everything has sooo real, how come they dont let you wait 5 years to enter the HOF???...so obviously getting everything completely "real" isnt a 100% of their agenda...they want you to have a creative fun factor also..problem is thar certain features that were made for creation and add to that fun factor was taking out...so it ruins the game for ppl who depended on those features for years to make the game enjoyable to them...

No other game does this, i think ppl have a right to complain, whine, or whatever it may be....atleast for a month or 2 loll

On this point, I completely see the reasoning behind that. If you play as a player through 13 or 15 years, and then you have a 5 year gap between that player's retiring and his HoF entrance, what do you do in that 5 years?

Chances are, you take over a coach or player and in 5 seasons time, you'll have forgotten about your player to the point that when you hit the 5 year mark, your bond to your original player or coach is broken and this becomes an afterthought.

I already knew why they did it like that...i agree with it, but its still not realistic no matter the reasoning...ppl were saying "why complain, when they're making everything realistic" my point is their not...and i gave one example on how it isnt.

I somewhat see that logic but that still doesn't justify making it instant. They could have at least added a 2-3 year wait and said it's because Franchise is only 30 years.

As to what do they could do in the meantime, have pre-programmed real life HOF hopefuls to be randomly selected each year.
