Lol who's idea was it to destroy half the reason people buy their game? They removed offline co-op? What the **** made them think that was a great idea?

If I were a Jaguars fan I'd be worried. Seems like EA is willing to cut anything from the game these days.

Every year I expect to have to sacrifice things with Madden and NCAA. At this point i would be happy if
they just put out a game with good gameplay thats sad but its where i stand with EA.

I was really excited to buy this game. I'm glad I found out this information, or I'd have wasted my money.

I'm still gonna buy this game, but. It really sucks that you can't use the draft classes from NCAA. I like to babe the actual rookies who would be coming out of college imported into madden. Franchise playability may take a bit without that feature for me. Not being able to play other games with other teams doesn't. Really affect me. That's not something that I do. But I feel for those wh are troubled by this. Connected careers can no doubt be a dynamic feature with proper implementation of certain features and bringing back features such as player editing, multiplayer offline franchise, import draft classes , etc. Im mstill looking forward to this ears game buthopefuy they can overhaul gameplay mechanics and momentum. Perfect the infinity engine

Oddly, I think it is game play in which EA will deliver this year, at the expense of several other things players want.

I rarely post here, I'm entertained enough with alot that I read anyways but wow...wow EA. I try not to bash, I try not to kick dirt on any game before playing it myself. Let's think about this for a second though. Gaming has evolved astronomically over its lifetime, and the one concept that ALL successful franchises you can think of have realized is, player control brings appeal.I've said this for years and I think most here and in the gaming world in general would agree..when it comes to gaming:

What I just DONT understand is why on earth would EA programmers sit in a board room discussing strategies and features to implement for the upcoming game in Madden 13 and think in any way shape or form that removing the ability to edit players, Play random games on the schedule, and just basically allow full control over your franchise (that has been the staple of Franchise Modes in previous Maddens and basically all current sports video games for that matter) when playing offline would be a great design decision to add to their new game!??

I mean was this game's kick off design meeting held on April Fool's Day or perhaps it was a late night Christmas Eve meeting???.....How can you explain the thought process that went into this? Its absolutely mind boggling! And the repercussions of this are going to get much worse when mainstream video gamers find out about this and Tommy Freckles in DeMoine, Iowa can't edit himself into his Dallas Cowboy Franchise and play the opening week's Monday Night game.

This is going to get ugly if EA doesnt address this....and they really should. It just aint right to cripple such a large portion of their customer base

this is the silliest thing to eliminate because honestly ..whats the difference if a game is played or simulated??? there are going to be stats either way ..one team will lose and one team will win unless its a tie.. so why cant we play it ????UN-FRIGGIN-BELIEVEABLE!!!

Okay, I think I made a comment in this thread earlier, but I'm gonna give it another try.

Though many of you may not like this and though it might not have been the smartest thing to do to leave out this feature it's perfectly natural. I'ts actually the same with FIFA, I believe. You can only play your own games.

And it makes perfect sense. Example:
I'm a Broncos fan, so I decide to create myself and coach the Broncos. I make it to the Super Bowl, and in the NFC championship it's Green Bay Packers vs. the awful Cardinals who somehow made it to the NFC Championship.

So I decide to turn down the difficulty and torch the Packers with John Skelton in the NFC Championship because it gives me an easier Super Bowl. Yeah, that's right. The coach of the Denver Broncos called the plays in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP! Say what?

I know that many of you wouldn't do that, and simply likes to play exciting matchups such as Steelers-Ravens or Saints-Panthers. But honestly... Where's the fun in determining other games outcome than your own? If you ask me, it's neither fun nor logical which is why I find it natural to leave it out.

I'm having a harder time understanding why we can't edit players to our liking. Not that I've ever been using that feature but still.

Anyway, that's my five cents. You probably don't care, but now you know :P

I know I'm going to be captain obvious here but you mean 67% of the people that voted. Guarantee most people that play online didn't vote. Also, if this were that important, how is it getting smashed in voting on the GC website by things most of us consider to be much less important.
