This is the sort of stuff I would do too, it took me until M10 to accept the PS3 version partly because on the PS2 although you could only do 64 I think CAPs you could delete them and create another if some UDFA missing in the game pulled a Cruz during the season

they are not really ready for the release this year, does not mean they are not trying. But they should be more forthcomeing in what it takes to make cc
not make lame excuses for what isn't In it.

i've been playing Madden since 95 i'm 20 now but i guess thats besides the point haha. every year i watch the playbooks they do for both games and all that stuff and i try to keep myself at a level head espically after last year. last year in my mind was bad but seeing the work they've done i'm excited. i do want the very best for this game because i love it so much. that and imma huge sports fan like all of us here. hopefully we all can enjoy the game. but if i see weird looking college players in my Franchise i will be upset.

The first thing I do on every single sports game is head into the roster management screen. Now there's not even a reason to do that since my changes won't be allowed in CC.

This is going in my signature because that is the exact summarization of my take on the whole roster editing issue. I can spend a great deal of time modifying the ratings and, sometimes, the equipment on roster files, but there simply isn't a point to it on M13. How unfortunate.

Mannn...i think having created players, and edited rosters still in the main menu...is a slap in the face....they should just take that out as well...theres really no point in even havin it there...

Yeah , in previous years I've found the best updates to start a franchise with are the last one before the cuts and the very last one as these needed less CAPs now I'm gonna be cursing every UDFA that makes a roster

Some people have... it's called head coach 09 now with coaching mode and SS mode.

By the way some people defend EA/minimize others who complain about missing features bc they dont use them, youd thunk they work for EA......LOL

That's true, no one has played the full game yet so no one knows how good or bad CC mode will turn out. However nearly every complaint I've read is about missing features and you don't need to play the game to know these features won't be there.

This issue will slowly die down at some point between now and the release of Madden before it's brought back to life right around the release of Madden. It will be pretty much the same people, having the same discussion all over again. Someone will mention how one player they saw drafted looked funny and people will swarm on it like bees.

how do u define a big number i would say 30-40 Percent is big i think u are looking at 100'000 loss in sales plus once non OS Members get there hands on madden and see all of the losses u can add another 300'000 to 500'000 in trade ins to my 100'000 loss in sales the Q is is losing 500'000 loyal people worth it

According to VGChartz, Madden 12 has sold 5.06 million units. 500,000 only accounts for less than 10%, so your numbers are already flawed. However, the biggest issue with your post is that you're attempting to assume an unknown variable.

It's impossible to know how many people this will effect as well as how many units will not be sold or will be traded in.

No on knows how it will affect sales, but if I didn't follow the game like all of us here do, and I bought it without knowing about the missing features, I would be ticked off when I got madden home. I could see another class action suit coming EA's way because of their decision to remove so much. Maybe not, but in this day and age, ya never know. We all have to wait and see. My guess is that the devs will stick to their guns until high noon, and then scramble.

If EA gets player editing, and 32 user team control in this year, even with a day 1 patch....I believe Madden 13 will sale record breaking amounts.

Will they sell near that many without those 2 features? Who knows, but I don't think so. My thing is, pay the money for the extra hours and get it done. EA will reap the fruits of their labor!

No more "next year" Maddens

I'd love it if they did do this and the PR value alone would probably make it worth their while, the negative press caused by this has somewhat rained on their big parade.
Can't see it happening tho' but the reaction may at least ensure it IS in M14 ( yeah I know....!)
