    Yeah! It's not like the players still get caught on blockers or look like they're running a 40yd dash at all times...

    The poster that said it looks beautiful in the replays but not while you're playing is 100% correct

      I honestly don't get some of you guys, but whatever.

      To me, the new passing and coverage mechanics open up so much more strategy. It's actually possible to read coverages now and throw the ball where it needs to go with proper timing.

      Perfect example, Using Bama against LSU, I called comebacks with the TE dragging from right to left (to the short side of the field). I can immediately diagnose from the alignment and the instant backpedal that the db is in cover 3, and my receiver drives upfield to set up the comeback. I'm waiting for his icon to light up to show that he's ready for me to throw, and I feel the rumble in the controller signalling that there's some pass rush nearby. I look at the pocket, step to the right to avoid the DE coming from my blind side, and look back up to the WR to see that he's ready for a pass. Fire. Completion. First down. Had I not diagnosed cover 3 right away, or had the DB had the psychic ability to close out on my comeback, that's an easy pick for him in any of the prior games.

      The mechanics actually make sense together now.

      Next year they obviously need to clean up the movement and add the infinity engine (and there's no excuse why it's not in this year), but this demo is the most fun I've had with NCAA in years. Time will tell if that's the case on higher difficulties, but this is very good.

        The oline is still confused on who to block especially on a CB blitz. The dline and linebackers still don't read keys. Wrs don't block. DTs are too fast and DEs are useless.

          Hopefully next year they will completely revamp the OLine/Dline Interaction.

            Passing seems a bit too easy, but that could be due to difficulty settings.

            The run defense AI is 100% psychic. Absolutely no hesitation at running at the ball carrier and the option is damn near impossible to run properly. I simply cannot imagine how this will play on a higher difficulty.

            The only decent part of Heisman mode I am liking is the interviews. The game looks absolutely horrible when you play as only the QB. Also the view seems to far in without a pivot option.

              I liked 06 Heisman way better....

              You could still control the whole team but when the game was over it was still all about your created guy with the dorm room stuff.

              Sure you can pretty much already do just that by making a recruit in dynasty but it does not have the same feeling as 06. But idk I'm biased to that game I spent so many hours on it back in the day lol

                Another moth to EA's flame I see. Once you learn to understand EA's marketing terms such as "overhauled, revolutionized, or groundbreaking" as their typical pregame launch fodder, you'll be much wiser and will perhaps save some money here and there.

                  I definitely enjoyed the demo overall. I appreciate how much there is to do in the demo. 6 teams to play as and RG3 on any of them is fine by me.

                  I think the changes they made in gameplay are perfect. New drop backs, new trajectories and catches and no more super linebackers are all huge additions.

                  I like the bottom line and in game updates. Rece Davis does sound a bit dull but it adds a lot to the feeling that this is realistic.

                  The crowds are also much improved. The fact that the crowd reacts mid-play is great!

                  For me, the demo makes me feel like the developers are striving to make NCAA 13 more like real college football and I'm ok with that.

                      If you play 13 and seriously cannot appreciate the changes to the passing system, then you're either lying to yourself or not paying attention.

                        My impressions

                        * the spread option is fun and working

                        * jump snap is way overpowered

                        * studio updates become very annoying very fast

                        * playaction is smooth

                        * too many nfl blitz style hits

                        * passing game smooth

                        * game speed a bit fast

                        * overall seems like a more polished 12 except for the D reaction time is still overpowered but I think ill be happy with my purchase.

                          My impressions? So far the jury is still out. Really seem like the CPU gets a cheater boost on 3rd down still. CPU interceptions need to be toned WAY down. I will hold of with judgment until I see the full version though.

                            I wish they would make the clock more realistic. I hate being able to run a 14 play drive as a 2 minute drill.

                              Love the demo, but had a play that just makes me sick after all this time! I was the wr for Oregon and my boy was the db for USC. The ball goes up and he proceeds to push my wr out of the way for the pick. Now in the NFL, there is jockeying for the ball but you can't push the guy out of the way. WHERE IS THE PASS INTERFERENCE CALL IN THIS GAME!!!!! I was hot when it happened. Cost me the game. We both user everything so I know he was pushing me. I couldn't do a thing about it. He just laughed.

                                Why on earth would anyone "lie to to themselves" about a video game?? Some like it, some don't. Don't take this personal. My feeling and impression, as is many others, is that the game is stale with no major improvements. If they had installed the Infinity Engine, than to me that would have been a major improvement. If they had redone the commentary, that would have been an improvement. Tweaking the passing game, which was long overdue I might add, is not an "overhaul". Again, just another marketing term for the sheep to follow.

                                Carry on.
