    FIFA 13 Ratings Thread

This is basically a thread where people can give their views on how high players will be rating in FIFA 13...I'll start with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

    FC BARCELONA - OVR
GK Victor Valdez - 82 [Had a good statistical season but performed poorly...]
RWB Daniel Alvez - 86 [Very predictable last season ad shouldn't be rated higher]
CB Gerard Pique - 87 [Barcelona didn't concede much in the league and had to step up due to Puyols injuries at the start]
CB Carles Puyol - 85 [Good when he played but IMHO I didn't think he performed up to scratch against Ronaldo and Drogba]
CB Javier Mascherano - 86 [Filled in for Puyol and helped Barca record a good defensive record]
LB Eric Abidal - 81 [Has been average and can do a lot better, age is catching up]
LB Adriano - 78 [Didn't do much at all this season]
CDM Sergio Busquets - 84 [Didn't have the great season he had in 10-11 but still played well]
CDM Seydou Keita - 81 [Didn't play much until the later stage of the season]
CM Xavi - 90 [This guy is the backbone of Barcelona and was their most consistent player last year.]
CM Thiago - 79 [Getting more experienced which means he's getting better]
CAM Andres Iniesta - 90 [Had a great season showing great teamwork with Messi]
CAM Cesc Fabregas - 88 [Had a good season, scoring and assisting goals but shouldn't be higher than 88, he can do better.]
RW Pedro - 83 [Lost his place to Alexis but played well when he came on.]
RW Tello - 77 [Their breakout star of last season]
RW Alexis Sanchez - 86 [Important First Team player for them who proved his worth scoring 15 goals]
LW Cuenca -76 [another breakout star for them]
CF Lionel Messi - 97 [73 goals, 29 assists in just 60 games]
ST David Villa - 84 [Didn't play for most of the season but Barca's truly missed him]

    REAL MADRID CF - OVR
GK Iker Casillas - 91 [Still the best Goalkeeper in the world]
RB Alvaro Arbeloa - 80 [Improved a lot as a player]
CB Pepe - 82 [Inconsistent, undisciplined and dirty... nothing great about the guy]
CB Sergio Ramos - 88 [Improved ever since he switched back to centre-half]
CB Ricardo Carvalho - 81 [Didn't play and is getting slower as the months go by]
    LWB Marcelo - 84 [Underrated]
    LWB Fabio Coentrao - 83
    CDM Lassana Diarra - 80
CDM Sami Khedira - 80 [Overrated]
CDM Xabi Alonso - 89 [One of their most important players, keeps their midfield straight]
    CM Nuri Sahin - 81
CAM Mesut Ozil - 89 [24 assists, led the league and scored crucial goals during the end of the season]
CAM Kaka - 84 [Played very well but is capable of better]
RW Jose Callejon - 77 [Had a good season but still making a name for himself]
RW Angel DiMaria - 84 [Was above average, could've performed better IMO]
    LW Cristiano Ronaldo - 96 [Had a great season, 60 goals, 17 assists in 56 games, but didn't get 73 goals I'm afraid ]
ST Gonzalo Higuain - 85 [Scored goals, thats is job.]
ST Karim Benzema - 87 [Scored crucial goals for Madrid last season and performs for France aswell.]

Personally, I'd put Abidal below 80, probably at 78-79. He's not nearly the player he used to be. He might even lose his place next season to Montoya from the academy, or Jordi Alba who they're reportedly close to signing.

Tim Howard and Petr Čech both above 85, they've played like monsters.

i feel like the ratings skyrocketed from 11 to 12.

I liked having only 2-3 players in the 90s and then the rest in the 80s and 70s 60s etc. I feel like only the ELITE talent should be above 86 then the great talent above 83 and the good talent down from there on out.

not a fan of how many mid 80s players there were, i feel a spread would make the game a lot more enjoyable for me personally as my tottenham career i had almost 4-5 87+ players playing in year 3.

Do you feel a difference between players?

For me I feel very little difference between the top players in the game, messi and ronaldo stand out to me, but really the only difference it feels like from there down is the players' agility and speed.

When it comes to attacking, I agree in large part. I can take a 70 overall striker and turn him into the leading scorer in the Premier League within 2 seasons. I knew he couldn't bend his shot (R1) around defenders but I could take big blasts at goal all day long and put enough in the back of the net.

In terms of defense, I felt that guys with lower awareness were much more susceptible to being shredded by higher quality offensive players unless the bus was properly parked.

this is true, now that i think of it i can definitely feel a dominance with better defenders, I feel vidic terry and pique in the game really dominating ground and air alike.

Really weird first couple of posts about Eric Abidal. He missed most of last season with a liver transplant due to cancer. He won't be playing for a while. Just figured I would put that out there.

No way. Those players aren't even close to be rated that good. If they weren't americans hardly anybody would know of them.

My thoughts for Arsenal. Nothing too drastically different from 12.

                              1. Szczesny - 80
                              2. Diaby - 76
                              3. Sagna - 83
                              4. Mertesacker - 80
                              5. Vermaelen - 82
                              6. Koscielny -82
                              7. Rosicky - 80
                              8. Arteta - 83
                              9. Park - 74
                              10. van Persie - 88
                              11. Santos - 75
                              12. Giroud - 81
                              14. Walcott - 82
                              15. Ox - 78
