Barry Sanders, greatest running back of all time keeping it classy. NFL needs more guys like Sanders.

Barry shouldn't even have a break tackle rating, the game should just assume he won't be tackled.

Notice the lack of over the top, everybody look at me, I'm bigger than the team celebration (I'm looking at you Stevie Johnson).

I gotta agree. Greatest of all time, he didn't run fast, he ran scared... And that's not a bad thing. I have never seen a back with hom low center of gravity just take hits on the hip and bounce off the tackle.

Barry was a huge hero of mine. Favorite NFL player of all time. Had a lot of power too. He wasn't just all speed and jukes like some thought

Yep... Imo Barry was better. Not a knock to sweetness though. It's not his fault he had a team around him. I put ol Emmitt at like #4 all time.

E Smith was better Barry had too many -1 carryies and E Smith had a longer peak 91-97 and the 93 Game against NYG played with a separation shoulder

Guys need I remind you this man played behind a line that you and I could've subbed in and it wouldn't have been a difference. Best rb of all time, period.

barry sanders best rb ever. emmit had pro bowl help at offense skill positions and oline. Emmit even said it himself when he went to the cardinals he didn't know how barry could of been so effective playing behind a subpar line. Emmit experience that life as a running back ain't all gravy when you got 5 guys in front who can't block for nothing.

Total<imagine a="" curseword=""> (uhhh just substitute a curse word here) and this is from a Bears fan.


Barry Sanders played with very, very little around him. Emmitt Smith played with superstars.

With no one else to contribute in any significant way on offense Barry Sanders averaged 5.0 yards per carry.


With Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman, both Hall of Famers, Emmitt Smith averaged 4.2 yards per carry.


Don't get me wrong Emmitt Smith is up there, but he is certainly not ahead of Barry. I can't imagine if Barry played on a team where the pass was as feared as the run.
