I suppose I could fire up Madden 12 and find the answer to this question, but simply out of anticipation for 13 I will restrain myself.

If you Franchise Tag a player tag and he is set to earn, lets say 7 million for the upcoming season, am I still able to trade him? Will that result in a cap penalty the following year? Is that 7 million guaranteed?

If I cut him, would I still have to pay the 7 million? If I trade him do I have to pay the 7 million, or does the other team?
