CAP Dynasty Reboot | (From NCAA 12 to Madden 12)

Previously Amped's CAP dynasty. Got all players set, but would like another CB. If anyone's interested head over to Amped's old thread and add a player and I'll get you into the reboot.

Hoping to get a bit written up today and get the recruiting season underway for everyone. Once again, I'll keep you posted on your top 3 schools and offers and you can elect to commit whenever you like. If I don't hear from you by the end of the season, I'll let recruiting run its course.

Heres who we have so far:

    QB - Timmy Zufransky (Bigsheen)
    QB - James Guthrie (packersfan4eva)
    RB - Brandon Gillespie (TheNumber35)
    RB - CJ Scorch (FloridasFinest)
    WR - Ryan Inman (ryry993)
    WR - Blake Sanchez (freshEdge)
    TE - Ross Wakefield (Amped)
    LE - Matt Burkart (itsmb8)
    RE - Reggie Barnes (glassjaw05)
    DT - David Thompson (Daaabulls)
    LOLB - Tanner Allen (sixersrock18)
    MLB - Robert Bolig (bigbob)
    ROLB - Wesley Michaels (belucheez2)
    CB - Flash James (HARLEE23)
    FS - Mikkel Lasson (Lasson)
    SS - Alton Ng (a2ndrgmaster)

Hope everyone's still keen and I'll try and keep the pace up and posting frequent. Here we go...

    SPRING PROSPECTUS

    Scouting 2013 Class - QB

    Name: Timmy Zufransky
    Pos: QB (Balanced)
    Height/Weight: 6’2/220
    State/HS: NY/
Bio: Now entering his third year starting, big things are expected from the senior signal caller from NY. His shiftiness in the pocket and ability to put the ball on a dime will hopefully lead his school deep into the playoffs. Combining these attributes with his decent athleticism outside of the pocket will open doors into any form of college system.

    Name: James Guthrie
    Pos: QB (LH-PP)
    Height/Weight: 6’2/180
    State/HS: IN/Bloomington
Bio: A pure pocket passer, Guthrie probably won’t be suiting up for the Ducks anytime soon. This would be their loss, as he is currently spending his summer tearing up the Elite11 regionals, with rave reviews about his accuracy and overall field awareness emanating from the coaches present.

      SPRING PROSPECTUS

      Scouting 2013 Class - RB

      Name: Brandon Gillespie
      Pos: RB
      Height/Weight: 5’10/215
      State/HS: MI/Novi
Bio: The hard working tailback from Michigan has only recently appeared on scouts’ radars, as he finished his junior season with some YouTube highlights of smooth open field moves and hard runs in between the tackles. It will be interesting to see what he can follow up with in his senior year.

      Name: CJ Scorch
      Pos: RB
      Height/Weight: 5’11/195
      State/HS: FL/Orlando
Bio: Formerly known as CJ Jackson, the Ochocinco and World Peace effect has reached into the echelons of high school to transform this dynamic runner into the newly minted; CJ Scorch. We’ll have to wait and see if he can live up to his name.

        SPRING PROSPECTUS

        Scouting 2013 Class - WR

        Name: Ryan Inman
        Pos: WR
        Height/Weight: 6’4/205
        State/HS: MO/Kansas City
Bio: Currently Ryan “Insanity” Inman is only well known within his home state, however with his current work out opening the nation’s eye at the Florida 7-on-7, where he garnered MVP honours, he could be tagged as the next big-time WR. Lofty praise, but duly earned as he routinely reeled in wayward passes and burnt some of the best corners in the competition. Keep an eye on this prospect.

        Name: Blake Sanchez
        Pos: WR
        Height/Weight: 6’4/220
        State/HS: FL/Orlando
Bio: A teammate of the aforementioned CJ Scorch, Sanchez has seemed firmly entrenched in the shadows of the exuberant RB. That was until he received an invitation to Nikes, The Opening after destroying the field here in Florida with his blazing speed. That alone will be enough to keep scouts coming back to Orlando to check out his senior season.

          SPRING PROSPECTUS

          Scouting 2013 Class - TE

          Name: Ross Wakefield
          Pos: TE
          Height/Weight: 6’6/250
          State/HS: CT/Bristol
Bio: More of a finesse, receiving TE, Wakefield has the size and athleticism that coaches in both college and the pros are looking for. Arguably one of the better prospects of his size to come along in a while, it remains to be seen whether he can improve his blocking in order to become and elite prospect.

            SPRING PROSPECTUS

            Scouting 2013 Class - DL

            Name: Reggie Barnes
            Pos: RE
            Height/Weight: 6’5/258
            State/HS: CA/San Jose
Bio: Reggie burst onto the scene as a HS Sophomore sack artist, finding California QB’s with a combination of quick and violent hands and a lightening quick first step. Since then he has filled out enough to play with his hand on the turf at the next level, however, he will have to prove to scouts that he contribute just as effectively against the run to be a true impact player on the collegiate level.

            Name: Matt Burkart
            Pos: LE
            Height/Weight: 6’5/200
            State/HS: TX/Euless
Bio: Raw ability and a talent for shedding blocks have managed to garner some interest in Burkart from several college teams in the Texas area. For him to make a bigger impact on the national scene and take his talents to the pros, he will need to work on his mental toughness and ability to track the ball carrier. Filling out that lanky frame wouldn’t hurt either.

            Name: David Thompson
            Pos: DT
            Height/Weight: 6’5/240
            State/HS: FL/Miami
Bio: The only knock scouts have on Thompson at this stage is his insistence to play DT when he’s built more like a LB. He has a great motor and ability to overpower blockers, also a great tackler with plenty of power behind his hits. Hopefully he either beefs up a little more during his senior year or sees the light and opts to play another position.

Six more defensive players to add, going to put a quick pause on it and come back in a couple of hours. Once the Spring outlines are done, I'll move straight into the season and with that college offers.

Catch you guys in a bit.

                SPRING PROSPECTUS

                Scouting 2013 Class - LB

                Name: Tanner Allen
                Pos: LOLB
                Height/Weight: 6’5/255
                State/HS: IA/Des Moines
Bio: Allen has been on most major mid-west scouting radars since his sophomore season, largely due to his prototypical size. In his junior season, his fast and hard-hitting style of play began to catch the attention of scouts nationwide, who now eagerly wait to see what his senior season provides.

                Name: Robert Bolig
                Pos: MLB
                Height/Weight: 6’4/255
                State/HS: PA/Altoona
Bio: Bolig harkens back to the old school days of line backers, laying the wood on every hit and leaving hit heart out on the field. Scouts would love to see his coverage skills and general field awareness improve, as his old-school style does not always mesh with the modern game.

                Name: Wesley Michaels
                Pos: ROLB
                Height/Weight: 6’6/245
                State/HS: NY/New York
Bio: One of the more complete line backers in this year’s class, Michaels has the quick first step and solid balance to get to the QB, while still maintaining solid coverage skill and field awareness. Coordinators can see Michaels playing either upright or with his hand in the dirt due to the combination of his size and good field vision. A prospect worth watching.

                  SPRING PROSPECTUS

                  Scouting 2013 Class - DB

                  Name: Flash James
                  Pos: CB
                  Height/Weight: 5’8/175
                  State/HS: OH/Columbus
Bio: Another invitee to Nike’s The Opening, James is as good as his namesake in terms of pure athleticism, which often helps him when he struggles occasionally in zone coverage. Despite his size James excels when matched up man-to-man, using his wiry frame to jam receivers all over the field. As an added bonus he has also shown some ability in the return game.

                  Name: Mikkel Lasson
                  Pos: FS
                  Height/Weight: 5’8/197
                  State/HS: TX/Arlington
Bio: A true ball hawking safety, Lasson has the makings of the next Earl Thomas (the last great safety for the Longhorns). He can cover large areas of the field quickly, with fluid hips and great vision. All the scouts want to see this season is whether he can improve his tackling in the open field, his only real glaring weakness.

                  Name: Alton Ng
                  Pos: SS
                  Height/Weight: 6’2/225
                  State/HS: CA/Los Angeles
Bio: While the California native is able to enforce and deter any receiver thinking of going over the middle with his devastating hits, college scouts would love to see better man coverage skills out of this safety. Those thinking that he may be better suited at LB would be neglecting one of the strongest aspects of his game, the ability to shut down any zone assigned to him in coverage, especially with the deep ball.

Now that the Spring Prospectus is complete, the season is about to get under way. Keep an eye out, cause your senior HS years will hopefully flood you with some offers and you can let me know when you want to commit but it will probably go at a decent pace, so sorry if you miss out.

Transfers will also be possible, but you will have to sit a year. Lets get posting!

Everyone with an offer after week one.

Just in case anyones wondering three players got 5 star ratings from the random number generator that I used and their traits from the bio.

They were: WR - R. "Insanity" Inman, RB - CJ Scorch, DT - D. Thompson.

Everyone else is a mid-high 4 star recruit, wanted everyone to get a decent amount of early playing time. You can still chose to go where ever you want as long as you get offered.

                          On to week 2...

Fair enough, you've got two other offers if you want either of those. Not sure whether you'll get anymore, seems that when the big name teams offer, the rest of the pack back off. That goes for most recruits now, not getting too many new offers since Wk3.
