    Official 2012 Toronto Blue Jays Thread

    I'd like this thread to similar to the Astros or Nationals threads.

    For those of you who are rolling with the Blue Jays, what do you guys do? How many trades? How are you guys doing?

    hey Milan, thought i'd be the first to comment in this thread....even tho we both know it's never gunna be as popular as the Astros thread....in all seriousness, im positive this thread will pick up steam when the rosters drop as the Jays are a team that plenty of gamers like to use

      I don't think anything will be as popular as that thread.... granted, you got a 4 month head start.

      It IS nice to see the Jays getting some love this year, though. Can't deny that beautiful farm system.

        that thread is nowhere as popular as some of the other threads...we would need like 50 more Astro gamers who'd participate regularly......Jays get love every year.....just unfortunate of the division they're in.....and the farm system is one advantage that the Jays have over many so might as well put it to good use

          No trades yet, am 15 games over .500 at the All Star Break, 2nd in AL East to the Yanks (2 GB).

          Edwin, Joey Bats and Arencibia are all All-Stars, along with Morrow and Romero.

            What are their stats looking like? Just for fun, I'll estimate;

            Edwin; .280, 22 HRs
            Joey Bats; .302, 29 HRs
            Arencibia; .237, 19 HRs

            How's the bullpen doing for you?

              If I wasn't such a Braves fan, I'd have played with the Jays this year. Great lineup. A pitching staff with tons of potential. And absolutely beautiful uniforms now. Not to mention, you get to beat up on the Yankees and Red Sox.

              I'm still tempted now and then to start a second dynasty, using the Jays.

                Didn't see this for some reason until now... Bro, you have 300 something pages.... Jays don't always get love, and you should see some of our horrible bandwagon fans...

                Funnily enough, if I wasn't such a Jays fan, I'd have gone with the Braves. But it IS very fun to beat the Yanks and Bo-Sox. If you start up a second franchise, go with the Jays.

                    Sweet! My impressions;

                    Halladay for Drabek and Lind? Lol I think you can tell how I feel about the fairness of that trade.

                    Your highest average was .273? Ouch.

                    Your bullpen was ridiculous!

                    And, most importantly..... WHY IS CORDERO ABLE TO PITCH? He's the Blue Jays' version of Milk Carton ffs lol....

                        Well Drebek was like 9-2 or something when I made the deal and Lind was doing pretty well too, but I wanted to get rid of him cause they had demoted him in real life.

                        Yep my hitting sucked. I led the league in home runs by 5 but I couldn't hit well overall. Going to have to do some tweaking of sliders.

                        Bullpen was awesome. Frasors 13-1 record is pretty crazy lol

                          I've always kind of admired the Blue Jays. I love the way they handle business. They've pulled off a lot of great trades such as the Marcum for Lawrie one which is now pretty much a one sided deal. Maybe the Halladay deal will pan out well eventually.

                          I'd try something like this with the Royals or Padres but highly doubt that anyone would be interested!

                          I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

                            Heh, friggen loaded farm system. But the Astros thread is one of my favorite on here. I follow it very closely.

                            Yep my hitting sucked. I led the league in home runs by 5 but I couldn't hit well overall. Going to have to do some tweaking of sliders.

                            Bullpen was awesome. Frasors 13-1 record is pretty crazy lol
                            If you had included a prospect like Hechavarria rather than Lind I could actually see it.

                            .... I'm gonna be honest, I don't think anyone aside from one certain MSU fan liked the Padres. The Royals, though, are a different story. Moustakas, Hosmer, loaded farm system, stupid amount of pitching, Starling, Myers, they're actually kinda like the Jays. But obviously not as awesome. :wink:

                              I won't lie, the Jays have a better team than the Royals! A lot more consistent performers and pitching (at the Major League level) that is really not given enough credit for their performance (when they don't have arms blow out all the time.) However, I think the Royals do have one thing on the Jays, a better ball park. :wink:
