Fair Trade Value for Marshon Brooks?

I'm in the 2012-13 season of my Boston Celtics 30-team control dynasty. After losing in the conference semis last season, Ray Allen retired. To replace him, I made a trade with the NJ Nets in the offseason to acquire Marshon Brooks (don't recall exactly what the deal was, but I know it involved my 1st round pick and a couple other players...)

Anyway, for whatever reason, Brooks just isn't gelling with my team so far. At the All-Star Break, he's averaging just 6.7PPG (down from 15.6 the year before). Because of this, I am looking to trade him away for either another SG or some help at the center spot. I am just trying to get some fair suggestions from you guys.

Please keep in mind that I am a sim-player who refuses to rip off the CPU, so please don't say "trade him straight up for D-wade cause you control all the teams".

    Thanks for any suggestions.

It's always difficult to determine trade value when you control all 30, but some SGs I think you could go for:

    Gerald Henderson
    Jordan Crawford
    JR Smith
Tony Allen (if you need defense)
    Ben Gordon
    Wesley Johnson
    Nick Young
    Chicago Bulls
    Chicago Bears
    Wisconsin Badgers

I think it would be fair to get Kyle Korver and Ronnie (or is it Corey?) Brewer from the Bulls, assuming both are still on the team.

Can you list the rest of your roster? Knowing who else is on your team may help the rest of us come up with more sim-like suggestions.

Re: Fair Trade Value for Marshon Brooks?

Sure, that probably would help. Not too many changes from the original rosters:

                PG- Rajon Rondo
                SG- Marshon Brooks
                SF- Paul Pierce
                PF- Kevin Garnett
C - Jared Sullinger (drafted him 17th overall/traded Avery Bradley to get pick)

                Bench:
                Mickael Pietrus, SF
JaJuan Johnson, PF (really came out of nowhere to be a really nice piece)
                Greg Steimsma, C
                Keyon Dooling, PG/SG

                Reserves:
                Chris Wilcox, PF/C
                Marquis Daniels, SF/SG

Not too many changes from the original roster besides swapping Allen(retirement) for Brooks and essentially swapping Bradley and Bass for Sullinger (through a couple trades)

Re: Fair Trade Value for Marshon Brooks?

Based on that, I would take Johnson, Allen, and Henderson off of my list.

But I think any of these guys would fit your team, in this order best to worst:

                  OJ Mayo
                  Ben Gordon
                  Nick Young
                  JR Smith
                  Jordan Crawford
                  Chicago Bulls
                  Chicago Bears
                  Wisconsin Badgers

If you are looking for a realistic straight up trade then i'd suggest you trade him for Ben Gordon or J.R. Smith. Any of the other teams would want you to include a 2nd round pick or a young player in a trade for their player.

Fair Trade Value for Marshon Brooks?
Apparently a restricted 1st round pick from the LAC according to the latest D12 trade rumors.

Another player to consider would be Aaron Afflalo. The Nuggets likely view him the same way they did Nene.

They overpaid and would like to flip him for a younger/cheaper player at the same position who has some potential.

You know... I was actually considering Afflalo, but with Allen retiring and Pierce/Garnett winding down their careers, my team really lacks a big time scorer ( which is why I pursued Brooks in the first place) so I would really like to trade him for another scorer. I like OJ Mayo... Maybe try to work something out for him.
