Horrible Roster Experience

I'm not sure if this belongs here but I wanted to share with you guys my horrible customer service experience from a roster website that was advertised here. It was so bad in fact that I'll be e-mailing the owner asking for resolution. I thought I'd share my experience here so others don't spend their money at this roster site...

Tyler: How do I get them? Most people just put up their GamerTag and then everyone can download them.
GameRosters Customer Service: Do they.
Tyler: What? How is that an answer to my question?
GameRosters Customer Service: You buy them from s.
GameRosters Customer Service: us*.
GameRosters Customer Service: We e-mail you the info you need to download them.
Tyler: Oh, so there's a charge then? What makes your product different then some of the free versions I've seen?
GameRosters Customer Service: More accurate.
Tyler: Can you provide an example of that? I know there's a huge community of people online that do the rosters too for free. I just want to know that my money is being spent on the best so any examples you could provide would be great.
GameRosters Customer Service: Less errors, more in-depth editing.
Tyler: As a customer though, how can I judge that without even looking at the rosters before hand? I think you can understand that...I wouldn't buy something without knowing exactly what I'm getting...
GameRosters Customer Service: You're getting a better roster.
Tyler: I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say...How do I know I'm getting a better roster if I can't see the roster to judge the quality before I purchase? It's like buying a used car without taking it for a test drive or getting a CarFax report...
GameRosters Customer Service: How do you know you're getting the best house if you can't live in it before you purchase it?
GameRosters Customer Service: You can't see our roster.
Tyler: So you're basically saying that I just have to take your word for it. What kind of business runs that way? Seems ridiculous.
Tyler: What other information can you tell me about these rosters before/if I decide to purchase?
GameRosters Customer Service: What kind of business gives things away for free?
GameRosters Customer Service: Seems ridiculous.
Tyler: For a customer service rep. you aren't very friendly.
Tyler: All I'm trying to do is justify the expense and you're making me want to purchase elsewhere based off your lack of educated responses. I sure hope this isn't the norm.
GameRosters Customer Service: It's not.
GameRosters Customer Service: Just for you it is.
Tyler: Why is that?
GameRosters Customer Service: I could care less if you purchase or not.
GameRosters Customer Service: That's why.
Tyler: How is it you have a job in customer service when you don't care about serving the customer?
Tyler: Can I please have the contact information for your direct supervisor?
GameRosters Customer Service: Yes - My supervisor is Brian Kaldenberg
GameRosters Customer Service: **********@**********
Tyler: And what is your name?
GameRosters Customer Service: <Edited Out Phone Number.>
GameRosters Customer Service: That's for me to know and you to find out.
Tyler: I don't understand why you're being so disrespectful...
GameRosters Customer Service: We don't like you.
Tyler: And why is that? I'm just a prospective customer looking for information...
GameRosters Customer Service: Not liked.
Tyler: This is ridiculous. I'll be e-mailing your supervisor with a transcript of this conversation.
Tyler: Actually you know what...is your supervisor available right now?
GameRosters Customer Service: No
GameRosters Customer Service: He'll be in tomorrow.
GameRosters Customer Service: I'll show him our transcript.
Tyler: When is he going to be available?
GameRosters Customer Service: He'll be here at 7:30 am
Tyler: No offense, but after your interaction with me I find it hard to believe your going to show him this. I'll be composing an e-mail to him with the transcript.
Tyler: Thank you. I'll be reaching out to him then.
GameRosters Customer Service: Thank you for visiting. Have a nice day.
Tyler: Thank you and I hope to hear from your boss as soon as possible.

Tyler: This is unbelievably condescending.

I agree, customer service rep was trolling for sure. Though I doubt over there that theyre boss would give a ****


I went over to the site and watch a video the owner made and towards the end he says they have great customer service lol

Well damn.. That certainly does suck. It is poor customer service on the social side of things tho. Some people will take it there. Your were better off just politely getting off the phone and not telling him you were going to show the log to his supervisor.

However, i found the conversation pretty funny.

I saw a video about Game Rosters and they have 2 Customer Service Reps. Think it even gave names too. I would laugh my *** off if they got sued by NCAA Players for charging people for there rosters.

The "GameRosters Customer Service Rep" was probably that idiot Brian Kaldenberg himself. The guy who charges $24.99 for his rosters each year.

Brian Kaldenberg used to be a mod over at hawkeyenation.com but he was such a jerk to people he ended up getting banned after his mod status was removed by the founder and owner of the website.

Would not shock me if that was him responding to the OP. He always came off as a smug guy.

Sad to say his "roster business" is based in Iowa City too.

To be fair, due to many people disliking the fact they charge for rosters..........they probably recieve quite a few trolling calls each year. That may not have been what the OPs intent was, but I can understand why the CS rep would think thats what he was doing. Anybody who reads that transcript will probably get that same impression. The CS rep may not have been acting very professional but if they have already a dozen or so trolling calls, I can understand why. Lol
