Freezing Issue

I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this but I'm still having a lot of issues with my system freezing throughout franchise mode. I've tried everything that I can think of to fix this yet nothing has worked. So far I've tried playing a franchise patchless - that didn't work. I've tried playing with the new patch (1.21) that didn't work. I've tried started a franchise patchless then re-downloading the patch either in May or when the playoffs started and that hasn't worked either. I've also restored my entire system a couple of times as well as deleting and reinstalling the 10 GB file but to no avail.

The only constant thing that I do is I always use a custom roster, usually using a version of the OSFM. Could this be the issue? Because if it is then the game is pointless to me without the full minor leagues seeing how I like to have real prospects to trade for and build my teams around.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips for me to try that have worked for them? Any suggestions would be great.

It shouldn't be because of the OSFM roster. You could be having a PS3 console issue, or maybe a bad disc. You can try using the default roster just to see if that makes a difference.

Check your disk for scratches. I always tell people check your disk first, if there are any scratches that could do it. Then go from there, check other games to see if they are working.

My PS3 is an original model and I suspect it to be bootlegged. It doesn't have wireless capabilities and for some reason the circle button has the functions of the "X" button. I've never had a problem before with any game and I've been buying The Show since it originally came out. Could it be that my console is just too old now and not compatible with the new patches and updates from SCEA?

I don't know. The circle button has the function of the X button, that's different. Something is messed up.
